I unknowingly danced for a vice cop tonight. Apparently, so did 5 other girls. They called us into the back office and said if we didn't cooperate they'd take us to jail in paper suits where we could wait to be bailed out. We cooperated. Our licenses will be suspended, we then have to appeal it and go to court with the club's attorney for this charge of an "indecent act" or whatever.
My manager said that in Seattle, the law is written so that anyone can be arraested at a club. If you LOOK AT a guy for too long while doing a dance - indecent act. Wearing see through clothing - indecent act. Grinding - indecent act. I just did my normal dance, the cop didn't act weird or try to coerce me into doing anything strange at all.
Anyway, it's shitty that this happened to me on my 5th day, but one of the other girls said she has never seen the cops not take the girls out of the club when they were arrested. So I got lucky, Man, this is so discouraging, it really makes me want to never go back.

I work in Dallas where the cops have been making their rounds too. No one is ticketed. We just get warrants in the mail. I have to go turn myself in for processing monday. So I will be in a holding cell all day.
It is only by standing up for ourselves that this industry can survive. Besides if we all let them take away the right to give and receive a dance what will be next.
