Actually, one of your recent posts, mojo, brought one back to me. I looooooved tron when i was a kid. Used to play the video games, and even run around my backyard with my friend pretending to be Tron and Flynn.

    Some others...

Goonies... The odds of finding a pirate ship in the creek behind my Grandma's house were, admittedly, remote but I sure didn't let that stop me.

Gremlins... My mom hated this movie. Not because she didn't like it as a movie, but because it was like visual caffiene for me.

Godzilla Vs. [Insert weird name here]... I was a MASSIVE Godxilla fan when i was a kid. So much so that my mom sprung for the two of us to see the 1998 version... Little did she know. I walked out of that movie ready to send the makers a pipe bomb. I was so pissed off.

King Kong... I could make a whole post on the effect this movie has had on my worldview. Everythinh there is to know about how to treat a lady is contained in two characters in here, Jack Driscoll and Kong himself.

Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back, and Return of the Jedi... Come on, i was 4 when Star Wars came out and i was ten when Return of the Jedi came out. I was a kid, what kid didn't goo over these movies. Incidentally, i saw ESB in Myrtle Beach because my horney aunt thought "Han Solo is soooooooo good looking."

    Last but not least...

Superman... When i was a little boy I was determined to grow up to be Superman. He was my single greatest role model. Looking back on it, there are some areas where, today, I fall short, but some where I do okay in. But I loved anything to do with Krypton's last son (And still do).

Goonies! Yes Madcap! One of my absolute faves! "Sloth love Chunk!"

"Labyrinth" (STILL one of my faves. David Bowie in tight-tight tights! Yeeehaw!)

"Lady & The Tramp" (Heh.. "We are Siamese if you ple-ease! We are Siamese if you don't please...")

"Drop Dead Fred" (Can't remember when this one came out, but it just came to DVD not too long ago, and I had to grab it!)

Goonies. Goonies never say die! Hey, youuu guuuuuuuuys!

Clue. Having a character named Mr. Body nominates it as a classic all alone.

    Cannonball Run. Hell yeah.

Cloak and Dagger. Cool ass movie, why can't I find it on DVD, huh huh huh?

Ewok Adventure (like, when I was SIX)

Star Wars 3, 4, 5. First two sucked, for the record.

    Goonies - "Sloth Love Chunk!"
Ghostbusters - (only the original, the second one sucked).
Savannah Smiles - anyone remember this one?
Back To The Future - "What the hell is a gigawatt?"
Karate Kid - "Danielson, show me, Wax On, Wax off."
Annie - Hey, I was only nine at the time alright?
V - The Final Battle - A miniseries actually, but I love it when the gal gives birth to that lizard.
Blazing Saddles - My dad watched this to death. I didn't get most of the jokes until I was a bit older.
Used Cars - Probably the first movie where I saw breasts on screen.

Blazing Saddles RULES - but, again, the DVD version is missing most of the "battles' between the ni...SHERIFF, and Mongo.

V - loved that series. Thought I was the only V-Geek around.

poltergeist scared the holy living shit out of me. i actually watched it recently on hbo and was annoyed by how sucky it was to me now. but as a 10 year old i had a big scary tree outside my window and i think that helped.

i loved goonies, too...and HEY did anyone else notice in LOTR:ROTK that the leader of the orcs...the general guy...HE LOOKED JUST LIKE SLOTH!!! i was in the theater all "SLOTH LOOOOOOOOVE CHUNK!" and people around me were like "whoa, he's right!"

charlie and the chocolate factory was and still is the bee's knees.

blade runner. american werewolf in london. conan the barbarian. and probably tons more but ill stop now.

I loved Disney's Sleeping Beauty- that made me romantic as a teenager- waiting for Mr. Right to come kiss me. (I also liked Disney's 101 Dalmations and The Little Mermaid.) I loved Labyrinth alot- it's a cool story, cool puppets (I love Jim Henson) and I loved Sarah. I loved Willy Wanka and the chocolate factory- I LOVED and basically lived off candy as a little kid. For some reason I liked and watched alot Who Framed Roger Rabbit. I loved The Wizard of Oz. I also loved The Never Ending Story and Mary Poppins which I used to sing all the songs to. I loved The Princess Bride.

I liked all the creative fantasy movies since my dad and I would write those kinds of stories together and then we'd make posters illustarting the stories we wrote. (My dad said when he was a young man he wanted to be an author or a cartoonist. I'm lucky I had a pretty fun childhood although it wasn't perfect.)
