Default Pole tricks on thicker poles?

Hey sexy thangs! I just switched clubs, and the poles are thicker! The club I worked at before had thinner poles, which let me do all sorts of spins and things. Any suggestions? These poles actually go up about six feet, then they have a bar going across at the top to hang on. (There's a sexual joke in here somewhere...)

My club recently switched to a thicker spinning pole also. At first it seemed a bit more challenging, but I can do the same tricks and have learned a few more as well.. Just make sure you get a nice strong grip!

I can't do diddly on a larger pole, I have little hands. Although I've never been "super pole girl" either. Good luck!

Use the T's on top of the pole. Wrap your legs around them then hangf suspended in midair, like a reverse crucifiction (sorry if that sounds morbid).

Next, use both of your hands, which are overhead, to grip while you uncross your feet off the t-bar, then cross them on the pole and slide down. Since its 6 ft, it won't look all that cool, but its something I've learned to do and they seem to like it.

Same with me. I've even gotten to the point where I avoid dancing on the main stage at my main club because they have thicker non-spinning poles. Yet the other two stages have regular width ones... ???

Glad to hear I'm not the only one, atleast you have other stages to chose from, a majority of the clubs I've worked at have only one stage, or only one open. I only know of a couple clubs that have the small spinning poles in my area, and they aren't the best $$$ clubs.

I can do pole tricks on the 2" brass poles...which was at my old club. My current club has 3-3 1/2" aluminum poles...which don't spin. I do my best on them...but, damn if it wasn't so hard to get a good grip and FLYYYYYYYY...

I can't even imagine trying to do anything on a 3 1/2" pole! especially anything one-handed!

I'm the opposite I learned on a 3-31/2" mirrored stainless so going to the smaller poles is somewhat tricky... and I have hands of a ten year old.

I may have many faults, but being wrong ain't one of them.

I've noticed that alot of the clubs here in Indy have larger poles.....like 4" diameter. Now in my opinion I don't even know why they bother if they're gonna go that big. It makes it damn near impossible to do any kind of pole work and thats just stupid. If the club doesn't want you to do pole work then they just shouldn't have a pole. And if they do, then they should really stop and think before just getting any old size.

New club has thick (3-4 inches diameter, not sure), coated pole, 25'. It's better for suspension tricks. However, a lot of girls also use lotion or baby oil here, so I haven't been attempting many spinning tricks, either.
