What's the legal climate here?
I have a list of clubs- downtown off Colonial and on OBT. I am looking for one that has management that will let me work one or 2 days a week.
Any thoughts are very much appreciated.

Strict. No contact air dances are standard in O-town. Some clubs have pastie laws they have to abide by as well. On OBT I'd go to Thee Dollhouse. Pretty easy going, blue collar and well known.
My top club pick however is Rachels. Upscale gown club, well known and mostly white collar customer base.
Season in Fl is late -fall through mid spring. Hope that helps !

I'm sorry - I meant more in terms of election year hassles. I want a club where if I abide by the rules I won't go to jail. I quit dancing in St. Pete because they'll haul you off for showing "the nate" if you're even wearing shorts.
Do you know anything about Diamonds? I drove by there today. I may also try Thee Dollhouse next week, but the one in Tampa would not let me work there unless it was full time, etc.
Eeek Orlando! :o I hated it. One word-Travel![]()

If you talk to management and say you have other obligations(which im sure you do, hence you are not working full time) they usually are pretty understanding.
Maybe work full time there for a week if nothing else, (show them you show up on time and come in prepared and do all your tip outs) and then tell them "hey im starting a new job because i need health insurance or something like that. (something the club cant provide so you need to venture elsewhere)
There is always a way to work around things. If you are a good dancer that is. (which im sure you are)

She Devil - what happened? I would be traveling 70 miles to go there. Tampa & St Pete are just too risky these days.
Starting F/T is a great idea, however I have a conservative day job. When I worked at Cristine's in St Pete, they let me work any days I wanted as long as I worked the whole shift and paid house, etc. That club has been busted many times since then, for stupid stuff.
Here's the whole situation: I have a college degree and a good day job. But I also have debt. Every time I get close to paying off debt, things like vet bills, dental bills, moving expenses, auto repair bills etc. arise. I'm also paying for grad school. I need to work weekends for a few months in an absolutely safe environment (every job in finance has involved a background check) to catch up and put a little away so I'm in a better position.
I'm going to start doing amateur nights at another club next week, but I need a Saturday day gig.
The way I see it, I have 2 non-Tampa/St Pete options, and that's Orlando or else the Peekaboo or Cleopatras in Manatee.
If you have specifics about what's going on politically in those counties, I would love to know..
Thanks for the tips
have you thought about cocoa beach. 150 miles but you could stay over fairly cheep fri and sat night. lido's has no schedule. the dances are 10 but they have tons of volume so hardly anyone says no to a 10 dollar dance. you could come every weekend or just one or two weekends. like i said no schedule. my friend that works there says it's been good there.laid back atmosphere. not strict on costumes or bottoms. best of all no bust worries.
As quoted by Luckyone:
I asked directions from a genie in a bottle of jim beam and she lied to me.
Methodus saved my life!

Velvet,
That sounds like a really good plan - thanks for the info!

Try Bare Assets in Holiday, north of Clearwater on hwy 19.To bad the clubs are worthless in this part of Florida. Some say the Dollhouse in ybor is good.

Cocoa Beach clubs are turning into such scandelous places. Tis a shame, really. A lot of girls from Orlando are coming this way, however. We had 4 new girls from there just this week at my bar (Merritt Island).... Tootsies in Sat. Beach is okish these days, though.... Runway is under new management, might be a good thing... The Cocoa Beach clubs, however, are touch and go. A lot of shady goings on.... if that doesnt bother you, I'd say dp ot then. The money is average - good most of the time.Originally Posted by velvet
hmm. scandelous? i was just in lido's on sat night. i was there for 3 hours and didnt see one scandelous thing going on at all. just lots of dances with minimal touching and minimal grinding. i have a good friend that works there and she is doing well. it was busy and so were the girls.

Well Dollhouse isn't in Ybor it's off Westshore but yes that's my pick of Tampa clubs since Scarlett's closed.Originally Posted by lost niki
I have heard some decent things about Bare Assets and there are a few dancers who post here who have/are worked there but Holiday isn't a hop ,skip and a jump from Tampa it's a pretty good distance. One of these days I'll make it up there and post a report .
But as I said before for Orlando -- Rachel's is the best club , imo anyway.
Hi,
I used to work (2-3 years ago) at Showgirls in Plant City which is a bikini club and made great money...grant it back then there was very little competition. The crowd is blue collar and tip outs were a little high, but the money was still good on top of that. I don't know how much has changed since then, but it might be worth cheking out. Good luck, FD xoxo

If you decide to go to Cocoa let me know how it is I have been thinking about going there and giving it a shot too. I have been dancing in West Palm but have been thinking about going North instead and seeing how it is.
I went to Orlando last summer. I think I tried every club in the area I dint like ANY of them. They are very strict. Rachels was nice. I was there a coupl hours when a customer asked me for a limo dance. I didnt know what that was so i asked the manager. aHe said you go for a limo ride with the customer for an hour. No bouncer, or anything. Just you and the customer in the limo doing ? I told him i wasnt giong to do that, he said tehy were required and thats where i was going to make all my money so i left.
I worked at the Doll house in Orlando a few nights. I liked the club, but because it is so strict there wasnt any money to be made and WAY to many girls for a three square foot building. lol
