I'd run a SC, but i dunno how i'd feel about making money off women's vaginas. So i dunno about an escort service...
I actually started writing a book on this. Just a PDF file that floats around the internet ya know.Originally Posted by electra link=board=1;threadid=13621;start=msg178252#msg178 252 date=1095727511
The first thing I would do, is find out what the adult entertainment laws are in your area.
Then you need to figure out if there is an audience for it. You don't want to plant one in the middle of Branson MO ya know? Nobody will go to it. Is the area economically depressed? No one can afford to go to it.
I would try to put it on a highway, or just off of one. Lemme know your email address (deogol at yahoo.com) and I will mail it to ya (that goes for others too)
If you've got a ton of money for initial capitalization and want all kinds of trouble from the local authorities, it might be a decent deal to get into.

I've already purchased a few domain names, but haven't decided what I want to do with them yet. I'm thinking of doing a bdsm theme paysite. I'm not sure if I'll have the time to keep it updated since I'm starting school again soon. I have a friend who offerred to pay for getting it started... I guess I'll have to look into it more. It would be fine if I could just do photo/video shoots everyother week or once a month (in bulk). hmm..
*yes, I'm still bruised and sore..*

Investing in a new strip club under the current political climate tends to be an "all or nothing" dice role gamble. The vast majority of the time, attempting to start up a new strip club is going to draw enough political backlash over zoning, permits and prosecution that the club will never get opened up at all or, if it does, that the "business model" will be so affected by new anti-dance club ordinances that the ROI will suck. Of course, there is a low percentage chance that the club can actually get into business without too many hassles, and that the club can actually operate under a "business model" which provides major major ROI !
In regard to an escort service, this is guaranteed big money ... until you are busted !
This is a long one, but interesting. READ:
So, every now and again I go to this spot uptown in NYC and it's a private club. There's like pool tables, TV, tables/chairs to play cards, sofas, etc. It's a private 'gentlemen's club'-you gamble, you watch pornos, you play pool, you drink, smoke, chill, whateva. However, at the end of the night/beginning of the morning, some of the strippers from the local club get off work at 4 and come back to this club to entertain. There isn't like a stage or anything-they're just stupid chics trying to get an extra buck by taking their clothes off or making out with each other and snorting coke or popping pills. They've even had a couple hookers from Hunt's Point go in there-I don't really like this 'club.' But it's a place for members only-you need to know somebody to be there and you pay to be there.
I went to a little spot near downtown that was HUGE to watch the Delahoya and Hopkins fight a couple weeks ago. (I was in Seattle.) This place had a huge movie screen to watch the fight on, a full bar, big stage (like the one you had in elementary school for the class play-it was big), recording studio, His/Hers restrooms, tables, chairs, a couple couches, and a buffet table. They had a security guard outside and were charging people to come in. (Unless you were invited, which I was. ) There was mad dudes in there (I went with my brother) and they had a couple strippers from the Deja Vu come dance after the fight. I left at that time.
POINT-the thought has crossed my mind. Opening a 'Members Only' type of club where I'd buy liquor wholesale and there wouldn't be ridiculous bar prices, I'd hire some girls (no house in the beginning) to dance on stage, there would be lapdances on a couch area, private rooms upstairs or in the back, and a cover charge for newbies, rent charge for members.
I did some research after the fact about pimping and pandering (I'm sure it could be called that because the business isn't legitimate-no SC/liquor liscense) and jail time (depending on your lawyer) starts at like 3 years. (Heidi Fleiss-but she had an escort service.) And probably something that had to do with tax fraud and not paying taxes for the business could also cause some problems with the government.
Ah well, not a bad dream though huh?
"You love my lady lumps."
It might be a better idea to purchase an existing club and re-vamp it or maybe consider franchising through DejaVu or Ricks, if they use those type of business models.....

I did know one ex-dancer who bought a club in Honolulu, but I don't know how it worked out for her.
