Default Red bumps on behind! Help!

Sometimes when I'm stressed or right before my period when hormones are acting up, overnight I get these random red acne-type bumps on my ass of all places!!! They usually go away by themselves within a few days but look awful while they are there - obviously for this profession AND in front of my boyfriend! Has anyone else had this problem and if so what can I do to make these never appear or at least go away faster!!! Also, is there a makeup I can use to cover them if they appear - has anyone used Dermablend or something like it b/c regular foundations and cover sticks just don't work!!! Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Clearasil Ultra, about $7.99 a tube

You can use this anywhere on the body. It is guaranted to make bumps go away within 3 days. Visine works on some people, to reduce redness. Otherwise, I just use my regular foundation (waterproof) with a little powder if I get a bump. Usually its so dark in the SC that noone can tell if you have a little makeup on it. You can also have the dj change the lighting.

Thanks D! I will buy a tube of Clearasil. What kind of foundation do you use?

Fake tanner helps cover it up, and then on that I use Estee Lauder Doublewear Stay in Place makeup. It works better than concealer and looks more natural IMO.

I'll have to try the clearasil too.

The best spot treatment I have found is: Neutrogena Rapid Clear Acne Eliminating Spot Gel. This stuff is great!

I've tried that one and it didnt work as well. I stick to the Clearasil Ultra. I use Maybelline Foundation--I'm very fair skin, so its one of the only brands that really blends with my tone and is affordable. I guess a self tanner would work--if you have a tan--but not for me... I'd say anything that is waterproof and heavy enough to cover it.

I can't tell if it is actually acne or if it's follicutis (spelling?) If you tend to get it every month and you can put a calendar to it I would suggest not just living with it but going to see the dermatologist about it. I use Revlon Color stay for body makeup and it doesn't need any setting or anything and tends to stay on to me for longer than any other makeup I have used on my body. Dermablend you have to wait for it to set and it has rubbed on costumes and regular's clothing.

I may have many faults, but being wrong ain't one of them.

Covergirl- freshlook in ivory. It also has spf 15. Sometimes, I'll mix a thicker, heavier, or slightly darker foundation to cover up darker bumps.. Then a little powder. Always works for me.

To help prevent them to begin with try some clear diaper rash cream after you shower. I live in a very humid climate and that stuff is a lifesaver for me

    Another preventive measure to try:

    Tend Skin
    www.tendskin.com
It's liquid you put on a piece of cotton and apply to affected area. Used mainly for razor burn and ingrown hairs. But it works on pimply-sort-of places too. I use it on my bikini area, armpits, butt and back of thighs. I would try the diaper rash cream first though, this stuff is $18 for 4oz. It lasts awhile, but it's still expensive.

regular drug stores don't seem to carry it, but cosmetics stores often have it, or you can order it off the web.
    Good luck
