    Default Horrid Dreams

Do any of you know anything about dreams and interpretations? I have been having these horrible nightmares at least 3-4 times a week and the other nights I just don't remember what the dreams were. This has been going on for several months and I don't know how to control them or what the deal is. I dream about eathquakes, tornadoes, vampires, murders, plane crashes, fire, demons, blah blah blah. I tell my husband and he just laughs. What do you all think? :o

You have dreams just like my husband, Aleah. Is there a lot going on in your life right now? Any conflicts, recent confrontations? Do you remember them in detail? A good idea is to keep a "Dream Journal". I've kept one ever since I can remember, and as soon as I wake up, before doing anything else, I write the most vivid details that I can remember in it.

My husband had a dream just recently that his teeth were falling out, one by one, into his hand. That one is a dead-on "I shouldn't have said that". He had an argument with his father a few weeks ago and said some things he shouldn't have. But he also has war dreams, very dark gothic dreams, vampires, etc. He can't remember them much when we wakes up, but he also keeps a journal, just to write down any detail, no matter how small it is.

If you can remember anything, PM me and I'll interpret it for you.

Thanks Rhia, that's a good idea to keep a dream diary. I'll PM you if I have any other questions. : )

Yes, dreams can be a result of stress. Sometimes psychotropic meds can make you have really funky dreams, are you on meds?
It could also possibly be a result of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder in which you have unresolved issues surrounding a traumatic event. In any case, I suggest getting outside help if they persist. The local mental health agency has sliding scale fees (or sometimes free if you tell them that you don't work.)
IM me also if you need anything else.

I keep forgetting to log in sometimes when I'm posting and then I lose whatever I've written! Drag. Anyhoo, thanks Big D and Vaden, I'll look into those. I'm not on any meds but there are some big changes going on in my world right now. I'll look into whatever is suggested and maybe the dreams I write down can be made into the next multi-million horror flick.

LOL.. The most effed up dream my Hubby has had as of yet, was one of an army of vampires killing everyone and everything in sight. He said that he and I were in the dream too, running away from the vampires. We apparently ran to a building and found their "leader". The leader ended up being our daughter, who was 3 months old at the time.. hahahaha! He said she kept saying "Kill them Kill them!"

Spooky stuff.. But, he's a very spooky person himself.

I had a dream that I was 'doin' it' with a vampire leader... That was pretty hot. : )

What Vaden said. I use that website alot. But I also suffer from something called dream terrors. I'll wake up and feel like I am having something 10x worse than a panic attack.
    Anyway....
Dreams are how the subconcious deals with stress and repressed fears and desires. It is a way of "working out" what you can't deal with in your concious state. Although it is very scary and sometimes disturbing I don't think you need medicine. Once the stress has passed from your life, you will notice the dreams becoming less and less intense. Analyzing your own dreams can definately be benificial.
