    Default Useless Diet Pills

My friend gave me 2 Phentermine to try and both times the pill has had 0 effect on me. No appetite suppression, no energy, nada.

I'm actually starving and scarfing down a sammich w crystal light and LPP protein.

Don't waste money on this crap.

K, TY Kat! There's an herbal prod. I've taken, but it contains the herb, Ma Huang tho, which isn't supposed to be good. I took it mostly to stay awake when I had to move all by myself in a short time

The best diet pills I ever used were these special ones the doctor prescribed.. he called them "Placebo"... man, they totally rocked!

He said they worked as good as not better than the other diet pills on the market, but at like 1/4 the price. woo woo!

It depends on the single dosage of Phetermine it might not have been enough.... Plus phetermine has the "oh I feel nothing" effect while using it...but believe me other people can tell.

I may have many faults, but being wrong ain't one of them.

The only diet pills I've had results with are Xenadrine and Trim Spa. Everything else sucks. Zantrex-3 has got to be the absolute WORSE shit I've ever taken. You go coo-coo on them. They're the pills Britney Spears was seen dropping out of her bag about a year ago. Maybe that's the reason she's been on the loco wagon lately.....

    Hottie,
Can you share your experiences with Xenadrine and Trim Spa?

Did it suppress your appetite? Give you energy? How much weight did you lose?

I don't really want to lose more than like 3-5 lbs but when I work out a lot I am always so so hungry and probably end up consuming more calories than I burn! And no, it doesn't go away after a week....

    Hottie Thoughts?

The girls 'round here seem to pop a lot of Hydroxycut- it makes them jittery and bitchy and poo a lot, but they swear it works...

I was taking the Xenadrine effedra free stuff for a while and I found that I had more energy in general and it's a fat burner. I cut any other kinds of stimulants out of my diet (coffee, chocolate) so I wouldn't get that jittery feeling. With a healthy workout 4 days a week (30 min tops) I lost about 30lbs. in a few months. That was how I shed the Depo-Provera post depression crappy bf fat. LOL.

The trim Spa, which I use 2 months on, 2 months off, is great for basic body upkeep. I only take half of the dosage recommended because it REALLY supresses your appetite. It has Hoodia in it which is a natural supressant. Certain tribes used to use before they went on weeklong hunting trips so they could stave off their appetites. I never felt any jitteryness or anything from the Trim Spa and I've lost 10lbs. on it my first 2 months on. After you take yourself off, you're body is used to eating small portions of food and feeling full so the results last. BTW - very minimal exercise on the Trim Spa. Just crunches every other day and walking a lot.

I'm liking TrimSpa. They don't make me jittery at all and work in what seems a healthy way: you eat small amounts and don't feel hungry between meals. I just have to remember to take it. The best advice I was given was to take it half hour to forty minutes before a meal then you just feel full faster. Oh, and LOTS of water. I do best with the recommended 2 pills in the morning first off then one thereafter before each main meal (lunch and dinner).

The only speedy ingredients I noted (in the X32 type) were the green tea extract and cocoa extract so if you are really sensitive to caffeine you might get jitters, but only if you are really sensitive. I have no trouble sleeping a night even if I take them only a few hours before.

My appetite isn't as suppressed as I'd like it to be, but that's ok. At least I don't feel jittery.

I like this stuff. Now, if I could just lose five pounds by Thursday for a photo shoot, I'm set!

Hi ladies, I've been surfing the board for a while now and I love all the advice! So here is my question:
I bought Trimspa and I'd like to take it, however, I also take Effexor for anxiety and I'm wondering if they would react badly with each other. Is anyone else in a similar situation? Thanks in advance!

If you have anxiety problems you should NOT take any stimulants. You are on medication to fix a problem that the diet pills are likely to cause.
Try to look into something like CLA or 5 htp that is not a stimulant but is good for promoting weight loss. There is a good thread on CLA here in the body business forum.

Thanks Krys, that's what I was thinking. I have been on effexor for over a year and it's completely controled my anxiety. And for anyone who has had a panic attack you'll understand my not wanting to risk that again!

    More than happy to help

Yeah I can understand that... anxiety is not a good place to be.
You could also try Chromium Picolinate its a natural mineral that is spose to be helpful for weightloss. Its not as strong as the oter stuff but as a bonus it is also thought to help with anxiety.

Not a similar situation, but I took effexor when I was in 8th grade and that shit surpresses your appetite already. I haven't been taking effexor for 5 years now. But I have tried practically every ephedra-diven drug you can imagine. HYDROXYCUT (with ephedra)-NO
XENADRINE (With ephedra)-YES BUT IT'S JUST WATER WEIGHT, YOU'LL GAIN IT BACK AND YOU GET INSOMNIA.......BAD
METABOLIFE (WITH EPHEDRA) NOPE, SAME AS HYDROXYCUT
TRIMSPA-NOT REALLY AND THAT SHIT IS MAD EXPENSIVE. IT'S LIKE $40 FOR A LITTLE THING OF PILLS.

WHAT I USE: YELLOW JACKETS (with ephedra) Lost 15 lbs. in the course of two months. Feel jittery somtimes but I don't really mind it.

*****I suggest when you take diet pills to also change your diet and lifestyle as well. Work out AT LEAST 45 minutes a day, eat lots of fruit and veggies, and DON'T EAT YOUR EMOTIONS! (ie food as a coping skill) Get some sleep, take your vitamins (magnisium, calcium, vitamin C, vitamin E) all very important and there's also great supplement for your muscles which is called CREATINE. If you weight train, it helps ALOT! Good luck hun.

Krys, I tried Chromium Picolinate a few years ago, and it didn't seem to do to much for me, but when I was in a nutrituion store in Toronto recently I heard the clerk talking about this product and apparently it can have some long term effects on your liver. Any of these so-called diet/weight loss pills will have some kind of side-effect if you take them for any extended period of time. A great deal of the products have different names for the ingredients, but in my experience with them they are pretty much just the same as speed. Anything that increases your metabolism, or causes you to eat less, cannot be good for you in the long run. Just think about risks when you are taking any of these products.
