    Default Drop 10 to 20 lbs in 2 weeks?

    Is it possible to drop 10 to 20 lbs in 2 weeks? I'm going to start dancing again in 2 weeks and want to shed at least 10 lbs... so I'm dieting with low-carbs, protein,etc.. and I'm exercising.. So I don't really need advice on how to exercise or what to eat... Would diet pills help in loosing some weight quickly? If so, what kind? I just need something to use for now.. I don't plan on keep taking any diet pills.. just need to shed those pounds really soon!

    I really don't recommend crash dieting like that. 10 pounds a week over 2 weeks is almost 2 pounds a day!

    It's possible that your heart may suffer irreparable damage from that kind of crash dieting. Don't do it. If you just need to lose 10 pounds, it's likely that the club you want to work at will hire you and you can lose the weight over a few more weeks, in a healthy way.

    I'm not worried about getting hired.. I'm not a big girl. I just want to fit back into my dance outfits. I just gained some weight after getting off anti-depressants... and my metabolism has been slowed down. I know by posting this, I'll get alot of criticism for "crash dieting"...but I need to use something else to help.. and was wondering if diet pills will work quickly..

    it is possible to loose 10 pounds in 2 weeks . I'd say cut your diet by 800- to 1200 calories a day and work out at least 2 hrs a day. (cardio)

    Now, that takes a lot of patience and determination, you might want to focus on a smaller goal at first, and work from there. The key to long term weight loss is loosing it slowly.


    20 pounds in 2 weeks is ridiculous. You wont loose that kind of weight even if you stopped eating all together (although you may die) There are 3,200 calories or something close to that figure in a pound. You have a greater risk of killing yourself before you reach the 20 pound weight loss.

    Keep in mind that losing 10-20 pounds in 2 weeks, is in fact, doable. However, the pounds that you lose is strictly from water weight. The minute you move away from that diet...it'll all pack back on. You are better off continuing your current weightlifting, cardio, eating habits than trying to crash diet that way. Those methods that get the "weight off fast" have also reported serious side effects from heart problems to blood clotting problems, to anuerysms, to seizures, to death by dehydration. Seems a high price to pay to lose a little weight. But, that's just MHO.

    cutting out ALL sodium will shed pounds fast...but it's all water weight so you'll gain it back fast.

    Before I went to Australia, I did the induction phase of Atkins for three weeks and lost 7 lbs. I'm no where near overweight but it helped. I've also managed to keep it off and I'm not on Atkins at all anymore.
