Default Please Advise: Gentlemen's Club Industry Union?

Does anyone have any information on a Union within the exotic dance/gentlemen's club industry?

Would this be listed as adult entertainment (Union)?

Has anyone attempted to form a Union?

I am looking for information for ALL employees: dancers, managers, event planners, bar tenders, etc.- all within our industry, but more specific to the clubs.

If anyone can help me with this, I'd appreciate it.

the vast majority of existing unions have shied away from getting involved with exotic dancers, both because they wish to avoid any negative aspersions on the union itself due to the Hollywood Stereotype of strippers, and because exotic dancers do not typically receive paychecks from which union dues can be easily and regularly deducted.

Will never work - ya'll are fiercely independent, all over the map on this one, and most states have adopted "Right To Work" laws that prevent unions from coercing workers who do not wish to be included into becoming a union member. And that, in turn, will pretty much kill your chances of winning under NLRB rules.

Besides, you're quite likely to find the other side is nowhere as green as it appears - and once all this cash changing hands gets thrown on the table for all to see, there won't be any going back.
