Hi! I don't post here much, but I dance in Minneapolis.
I wouldn't recommend working at the Skyway as your first club here - more like a last resort if you get fired from all the rest of them. Have you been there? It's a TOTAL dive - it's located on a bad corner, it attracts poor clientele, and the "VIP area." consists of a couple of ratty couches in the back. There are some really sweet women who work there, but I just can't imagine that there's that much money to be made in that club.
There is money in this town if you're willing to work for it. I would recommend working at Deja Vu or Choice if you want to dance nude in a more casual environment, or Rick's or Scheik's if you want to dance topless in a more upscale environment. Good luck!![]()
Hi,
Don't know much about the Skyway presently, but I think Winter's probably right. It is a dive, and I don't hear anything about it from the usual suspects. No good things. No bad things. Nothing.
Also, I don't know if it's like this now but at one point, there was no cover. That might indicate something of the clientele.
Choice, Rick's or Scheik's may be better choices. There's also The Seville which when it opens (the last I heard was mid October, but 2004 or 2005 I couldn't say). That one will be in a primo position right across from the Target Center.
Again, let me add to the wishes of good fortune!

Thanks for replying! I was thinking Skyway because I have been gone awhile (move, baby, ect) and am not yet as toned as I hope to be and was looking for a place that I could at least work while I shape up- do you have any sugestions? I have a pretty face, great hair, smile, personality, good legs, mediumsized breasts, but not the smallest waist. I am perpotionate (sp). I don't really know the clubs in mn- I've danced before- not a *whole* lot- in Oregon
I'm actually headed to their amateur night tonight- wish me luck! A friend of mine worked there a while back and thought enough of it to recommend it to me.
It's owned by women, which I'm told is a good thing.
I'll be sure to post about it when I get back!
PS- I've heard from stripper friends who've worked at Sheiks that it sucks.

There's always King of Diamonds, if you have the ability to get there. That's a decent place.
And, in Harris, there's Heartbreakers. They aren't the busiest of bars, but it's gone under new management and it's been remodeled, and is actually a very clean and respectable bar now. All the girls that work there are sweethearts, and it does pretty good business on the weekends. They're looking for new faces as well. It's a little out of the way, but you could definitely use that place as a stepping stone to bigger and better things, too.
Other than that, I'd suggest you join up at and read about the bars for yourself. There are customer reviews there, although some bars people haven't rated in a long time, it gives you a pretty decent idea of what to expect or ask about when you're calling around. That's what I use, anyway. Membership is free, but you don't get access to everything unless you pay.
Good luck!

So I just got back from the Skyway. It's not a "classy" place, per se, but it is a really laid back "anything goes" atmosphere. All the girls are really nice, and they definitely have all shapes and sizes. From what I can tell, I'm the new resident 'goth girl'
I think if I keep my head down, play nice and dance my ass off, I'll be good to go. Seems like a good place to cut one's teeth.
More on this as it develops.

Awesome, if I get up that way I'd definitely go in there to check it out. What's up with their Amateur Night event? How was it?![]()
It was pretty good. You register with the Housemom, and then, with the DJ, pick the two songs you want to dance to. The contest starts after all the girls have picked their songs. They have all the girls dance their sets, and then one of their dancers goes up and does a set while they decide who won. Then they have all of the girls go up on stage and they announce the winners.
Afterwards, the Housemom will let you know who she'd like to hire. Fortunately, it was me she wanted to hire
I can now introduce myself as the Skyway's newest dancer ^_^
i work over at seville...let me know how skyway is doing, i'm curious!
