Default Weeknights vs. Weekends

This thread is an offshoot of my other thread. It got me thinking. Latley my Saturdays have not been that great for me but my Thursdays are awsome! I have elected to dump my Saturdays for an extra weekday. I hope it works out well. So my question for you guys is what are your observations working during the week rather than weekends?

I have noticed that I get tipped better during the week.

More guys during the week buy more than one dance from me at a time.

The weekend guys go more for the barbie type which I am not.

Anybody eles have experiences that have are simmilar or different?

Yes...which is why I never worked Fridays or Saturdays at my club. My days were Sundays and Thursdays. Why go for quantity when you can go for quality?

The guys during the week are conventioners, out-of-town business men, in-town business men...the point is that the majority of them are business men...out to have a good time. They do this Sundays through Thursdays. Usually, the high school attitude boys on the weekends scare them off. So, in my case...Sundays and Thursdays were my best nights.

Hi,

Well, patron here, but I say go for it...

I've always enjoyed going during the week rather than the weekend. It's less loud, less hectic, etc. and for an old stick in the mud like me, that's enjoyable.

I've heard several friends complaining about weekends as of late. However, I dropped in Thursday and I heard that was proving to be a fairly profitable night for some, and it did look busy.

I have primarily gone on Tuesdays with Thursdays being a 2nd choice. VG, I have also loved going on Sundays, but now with football season it can be kinda nuts (but it's probably good for business!). Sundays are nice for one reason if nothing else - no feature promos. Whoo!

Now the bad part about patronage during the week - getting up the next morning. Yes, I'll admit to dragging out at 2:30 only to get up at 6 the next morning.

Bad afx!!!

Hot is hot, lilac. And i saw your pics in the gallery. I'd buy a dance from you any day of the week.

A lot of guys (myself included) are kind of relegated to doing our clubbing on weeknights due to the circumstances involving our jobs. Occasionally when I do get a traditional weekend night off, I go to the club with high expectations only to be disapointed because I can't get time with the dancers that I want. They are either too busy with other spenders, too busy wading through the crowd to find me, or too busy chatting with the non-spenders because they would rather party around than make money. IMHO, weekend nights are WAY overrated and I think a lot of customers would rather prefer the quieter atmosphere of an off peak time, than share space will al the obnoxious idiots that come in on weekends.

I say make the exchange. Find a weeknight that works for you and stick with it. Tell your regulars about the schedule change, and see if they'd prefer to come in on the weeknight. You'll probably get some takers.

Another upside of doing this: By not working Friday or Saturday night, now your weekend night is free and you can spend it with the SO, or go do some partying of your own instead of working.

I much prefer weeknights but since my lazy ass didn't work all week I have to go in tonight, Saturday. The advantage though is that this club is open until 4am and between 2 and 4 guys can't drink and only 1 stage, so they get muchos lapdances!

I hear ya Kat, I have to work another weekend too. And I hate it, and I'm not happy, LOL but I spent all week with my baby Angel while she was in labor and afterwards.

I usually do much better on a weekday, than a weekend but I have been suprised before. So maybe this will be a change of pace too.

Good Luck Kat, hope we both make tons tonight!

Different cities have different weekly cycles.

Contributing factors are things like how large of a role travelling businessmen play in the customer base (makes for a big night on thursdays as the travelling businessmen have finished their work and will fly home on friday). Another contributing factor is how large of a role tourists play in the customer base (makes for big weekend nights). Another contributing factor is the number of commuting workers (makes for big Monday nights, as husbands have been stuck with wife and kids all weekend). Doing a little market research for your particular city, and picking the most likely nights to work, can help a lot.

But dancer earnings aren't only dependent on customers, they're also depending on the number of competing dancers. Therefore it's entirely possible that a hot dancer working a traditionally slow night which most other hot dancers choose not to work can cash in big time as well.

I'd say it goes like this for many cities:

Mondays are slow (after the weekend, people tired)

Tuesdays and Wednesdays are somewhat busy, where you'd probably get the best customers. Regulars/business men tend to not want to have to deal with a younger crowd, or competition. I find that these two days have the most overall high-quality clientele.

Thursays are crazy. Some girls think they are the best day, but it could be quantity over quality, or a combination of both.

Fridays and Saturdays- the weekend crowd. Yuck. That's all I have to say about that. Young, broke, cheap, bachelor parties- however, coming into fall season (whoo-hoo!) both these nights should kick ASS.
This past Saturday, a guy came into the club and not only tipped the girls in $100 bills, but also took out an additional 10K to tip with. Yes, that's $10,000.

So, you never know. I always say: It takes ONE guy to make your night.

I make the most money Tuesday-Thursday nights, and I usually drop in for a Friday and/or Sunday shift as well. I do better with the lonely hearts, travelers/businessmen, and blue collar workers than with party kids and bachelor parties. Guys who come in on the weeknights want to spend time (i.e. money) getting to know one girl, whereas the partiers want maybe one or two dances from several different girls. They are more into the atmosphere, prefering to enjoy the show with their buddies rather than spend time with a dancer privately.

I don't care if I do 10 dances for 10 guys or 10 dancers for one guy, but the hustle is a lot easier when it's just one!

This is what I'm trying to figure out in my new club as well. Saturday was traditionally the one night a week I could rely on to bring home lots of bacon..... now that I'm in a gown/long dress club where I can only wear themed outfits on stage.... I'm finding it a harder sell to the buck parties on Saturdays which I usually profit-ed off big time.

I would usually walk around in my School Girl outfit and be able to sell the dance on the novelty of having a 'school girl' dance for the buck. Then there was the on stage 'humilation' shows which I did rather well too..... so I loved the buck's parties. I knew how to work them when in a costume.

Now... I'm in a long dress.. and they now tend to go with the bigger girls for that reason.

Plus it is really hard to talk with a large group of guys in my club at present (due to the set-up is more akin to a theatre type set up than normal strip club set up around the stage - if you want to see what I mean go to http://homepages.ihug.com.au/~bibs/HShow/ )

I'm thinking of dropping the weekend for the slower nights too. We'll have to see....
