Starting rant!
I work swing shift at an office, and when I got home Thursday morning, my cousin, with whom I share a rented house, tells me, "Please don't be mad, but my sister broke your refrigerator." I'm mofo POed at his sister now, several days later, but it isn't about the broken fridge.
His sister was there to help him paint part of the house, as we're switching halves of the house we share. His sister decided she was going to defrost & clean my little 4.4 cu ft fridge, and she has had repeated problems leaving other people's belongings alone in the past. E.g., when her brother was renting an apartment and she didn't have a place to stay, he let her have the second bedroom. He had two stereos, with the second one being stored in a closet. She threw out the stored stereo when he wasn't home. I understand she also did this to their mother when she stayed with her mother and stepdad for a couple weeks. But I don't know the whole story there.
The reason I'm so POed at her now is 2 1/2 years ago, I was diagnosed with adult onset diabetes. Not a surprise, as my mother and her mother both developed the same problem. Anyway, I keep my insulin pens in this little fridge. Now, WTF is ANYONE doing taking my insulin pens out of MY fridge when I'm not home? What's the damn problem understanding you don't touch someone else's medicine? EVER!.
The reason I was switching spaces with my cousin was so his sister could move in here for about six months as she wants to start saving to buy a house. After this, however, I'm going to tell her to f//k off as far as staying here, since she seems completely incapable of staying away from other people's property.
So, I'd just like some advice if I'm "over-the-top" here or if being as POed as I am right now is normal, justified or whatever?
And apologies to everyone in advance for my rant.
PZ
