Guys!

Do ya'll really, really, really have to contribute to every single thread that is about stripping and for strippers, especially the venting threads?

I am no newbie here, and it hasn't bothered me much until recently.....

Sometimes its NOT about you, at all, not even a little bit....

Maybe its best if some of ya'll just keep posting photos of airbrushed models and drooling over photos of our tits in Picture Post, k?

You hit the nail on the head! This is a networking site for strippers, hence the name "StripperWeb."

Kat, it has really started to get irritating lately for me too... everytime we want to vent it has to be a big arguement.... just post in LO if you want to vent, ladies.

Right on. I don't even read posts from most male members anymore. They contribute very little.

Yeah, the phrase CustomerWeb has been thrown around a few times. A girl can't even get some stripper advice without having it drowned out by too many customers screaming about their "rights".

It's called Customer Conversation or StripClubJunkie for a reason. The guys are welcome here, but this is still supposed to be StripperWeb.

I'm just wondering when the controversy over males posting will start including those of us who work/worked in the industry, or has it already?
Granted this IS a networking site for dancers, but let's not forget there are several bouncers and/or djs who are on this site as well, and this site also allows US a chance to network, vent, get advice etc...

Im with Blade...I think the guys that work in the biz see things from another perspective since we HAVE another perspective. I think that thoes that are in can help. And since I stick mainly out of vent treads (unless its DJ related)....Bridgette, what rights are customers bitching about??? The only right I know a customer has is to either A) Tip and be treated well or B) be cheap and be ignored...well..thats the way it USE/SHOULD be....but seriously..........I must have missed something.

The customer/male perspective is also valuable, but I see what Katrine is saying. The non-dancer perspective is often not needed nor wanted. I will hand it to guys like certain DJs and DancerWealth that don't post fluff. I love your posts and they often pertain to the industry.

Guys in the industry are different. What we're talking about here is customers. Hence the negative reference to CustomerWeb. I'm not the one who coined that phrase, but I've seen it thrown around here and there. Sometimes it seems this site is turning more into CustomerWeb....

An example of customers screaming about their "rights" when it was entirely unneeded or wanted, was a recent thread (which was HEAVILY moderated) where a girl posted a vent about nontipping customers and then got blasted (both here and on SCJ) by customers screaming it's their "right" to go to the SC and NOT tip her. How productive is that?

It's not just that one, that was probably the worst recent example. It seems like we're getting drowned out in EVERY single thread. I think most of us appreciate the perspective of guys in the industry, who at least have a clue about what we're dealing with. It doesn't take much time spent on SCJ to see exactly why most of us are getting fed up with the general customer population these days. TALK about a sense of entitlement!

Ah point taken, I have noticed a trend with the customers being quite outspoken as well and was wondering when the proverbial shit was going to hit the fan.

Oh I agree mam, I truly do. I also blame some of the newer dancers in this biz. I realy wish good vets would take more of them under there wings sometimes. I work in a club with ALOT of girls that are new in the biz and I try my best to stear them away from the bad habbits I see poping up now a days.

I wasn't referring to the tipping thread, although that was in the back of my mind.

Actually, just look at almost every thread in the Stripping General section, Newbie Section, Hustle Hut, etc......

I can't really tell you which posts are useful vs useless and I don't want to point out names because that is rude. Hopefully the offenders know who they are.....

For example, we totally need the DJ input for the DJ tipping thread that is going on right now. Djs, management, etc, are useful....

Sorry phillydj, I don't have time to take newbies under my wing in the club. I give lots of great advice on the boards as do most of the veteran girls...

We are not "coworkers" with the newbies, we are competitors for a finite amount of money to be spent in the club. No one helped me out so I had to figure it out on my own.........

I actually do a small amount of taking newer girls under my wing, as time permits and as their attitudes permit. But it's hard to teach anything to an 18 or 19yo who already knows everything. I will always speak up when I see a girl being taken advantage of, but frankly when I'm at work, I'm usually running my ass off and don't have much opportunity for chat.

I've always said it should be illegal across the board for girls to dance before the age of 21. I don't care about how much an 18yo needs money. I needed money when I was 18 too. It's too damn easy for all those "entitled" customers to take advantage of an 18yo, which is a large part of what's fucking up the biz. THE single biggest lesson our "entitled" laphounds preach is to prey on the young newbies because they don't have the age/experience to know how to handle those assholes.

Bleh. I'm getting on a tangent. Time to feed the kitty

Just for an official comment on the situation, Katrine is 100% right. We allow male members to post in this section because their input CAN be valuable. Members like Jay, Djoser, etc. are trully assets to this site and the dancers here (don't get your panties in a bunch if you're not in that list guys - they're just two examples that have long earned their stripes). BUT, there are comments that are better left out. In this area specifically, we require posts and topics to be Stripping related. The ladies come here for information and to share advice/support. Posts that are irrelevant, silly, just say "you're hot", "I'd treat you like...", or argue against a members personal rant are not welcome.

As Bridgette has said, this is not CustomerWeb. There are 100 of those site. Make use of them. This is not a site to flame dancers.

Irrelevant or silly posts belong in the lounge, customer related posts belong at SCJ or in customer conversation. The "you're hot" posts are tougher...obviously some want them - especially in the picture post section, but for the most part, they just make you seem creepy.

We tend to be loose on the rules because we want everyone to have a good time, but when things are abused for too long or by too many, we do crack down. The rules are simple - follow them.
We all imagine ourselves the agents of our destiny, capable of determining our own fate. But have we truly any choice in when we rise, or when we fall, or does a force larger than ourselves bid us our direction. Is it evolution that takes us by the hand, does Science point our way, or is it God who intervenes keeping us safe.

So much struggle for meaning, for purpose. And in the end, we find it only in each other. Our shared experience of the fantastic. And the mundane. The simple human need to find a kindred, to connect. And to know in our hearts... that we are not alone.

I agree 100%. I didn't start dancing until 21 and am glad I did. Almost every < 21 year old girl I've worked with gets drunk and or does drugs at work. Sorry to all of you younger responsible ladies on the board, but I don't see it as the case in the club....

Back to topic, sorry.....

I started when I was 21 too and I'm glad about that.

Anyhow, there has been quite a bit of antagonistic and non-constructive feedback from a certain segment of male posters here with that sense of "entitlement" that keeps being mentioned. I think some of them tend to forget that we're people with needs and feelings too. If they want an automaton they're gonna have to wait a few more decades for artificial intelligence to catch up to the point to be able to make robo-strippers.

Me and Bridgette discussed the Newbie situation recently and there's one girl I've kind of taken under my wing at work recently. She's smart enough to make pretty good money on her own, but she's also smart enough to listen to a 5 year vet such as myself. Also, I was pissed at how management was expoliting her and making her work doubles even though she's a full-time student. That really pissed me off.

Anyhow, I do think there are certain posters in here that need to spend less time here and more time on the Blue Site, but then there aren't as many strippers in there for them to fawn over.

Oh Bridgette , Nina -- LMAO !

My pet peeve around here is men who think they know more about dancing than actual dancers . We have a few of those . We also have a few who just want to piss off dancers or tell women in general off. It's not much differnt than the clubs in alot of ways. Thankgod we have some cool industry guys and fun customers like Madcap and FBR too . That is just the way website communities go-- you take the good with the bad
