    Default Your Persona at Work

Maybe that isn't the correct word, but who do you "channel" while at work? Is there an image that you try to portray? I try to give off sort of an early Sophia Loren type. I think velvet curtains, smokey rooms, cocktails and the like. It's all about nude pouty lips, smokey eyes and vintage hair. Does anyone try and use an accent? I used to work with a girl who would try and pretend she was English but it was such an awful attempt!!

I try the pin-up girl route when I'm onstage. I like to channel my inner Marilyn Monroe and be more feminine and graceful, which is the complete opposite of who I am. I'm such a tomboy and a complete klutz in person.

Hmm... a little Lillith, a little Freyja, and a little Marilyn Monroe.

I try to be like Madonna. She just has that charisma that gets everyone's attention. Not to mention the fact that she did so much to try and make people see that women can be intelligent and sexual all at the same time.

I wouldn't say I have anyone in mind that I try to emulate. But I definitly have a persona in the club, who's sort of an exaggeration of me on a daily basis. More sexual, more talkative, more flirty and sassy. I'm naturally an introvert, but can allow myself to let my inner bad girl out when need be. A lot of girls I've met like to play dumb, but I've found that using my intelligence attracts men like nothing else. Guys love the idea of a smart, together woman who is naugthy too

I am a total Raquel Welch: A nice girl with her inner bad girl just dying to get out. I usualy appeal to the older men who remeber her and say I remind them of her. Back in the day when having a "body" ment having bigger hips than '33 inches.

I've been experimenting a bit with my persona, and to my irritation, the ditzier I act the better I do. I'm nothing like that in real life -- the opposite, really -- so this is wierd to me, but true. I'd much rather work the classy/smart angle (all you ladies that do: right on!) but it doesn't play for me. Guys like to talk to me, but they don't buy dances the way they do when I'm giggly and silly. It's driving me nuts! I'll have to keep working on it, I guess

Sex goddess. Flirty, coy, friendly, hot, seductive, teasing, purring, sweating, energetic, lighthearted, dominating, etc...

I can switch from cutsie girly fun to dominating goddess to horny slut at the drop of a hat. All depends on what type of guy I'm dealing with and what the situation calls for.

I don't have anyone person i can mirror. I just try to see what the crowd is like that night, and go from there.

I have been known to be a bitch at clubs while working, and word did get around, even though i was very very nice and flirty with customers, so i think this helped me some. The guys would often ask if i was really a snob? Lol. I would say of course with a wink laugh and win a dance. Just made the other dancers look jealous. (Thanks ladies!)

So i am just me, and work what i have, let the other dancers talk shit, and i get noticed even more!

I think of a balerina because I have these super long legs and I am always consciously pointing my toes (on stage) to make them look even longer.

Ain't that the truth! Heh, I sometimes get that too and I always find it amusing that the girls who try to "screw" me with customers actually help me more. LOL! Go ahead and tell the guys I'm a bitch/snob

I get told by a lot of customers that I remind them of an old time 40's movie star.. my hair is usually very simple, my moves are very seductive and my makeup is evening type. Combined with the right outfit it works. I can still have this affect in pleather or fishnet too.. weird. Men love it. Women ask about how I do my makeup- but the one compliment I get over and over again, is "You are so sexy, you reak of sex" and I don't even try. That's what I get told.
