    Default The Bloody Pole!!!

Well, I don't know if I am gonna get much feedback on this because it is a rather hard question to answer. But I'm gonna give it a shot anyway.

How on earth do you work the pole?!!!!! ???

I can only do a simple one leg clamped around the pole, holding the pole like a baseball bat spin..... Not too impressive. I bought that book The S Factor and learnt fuck-all from it! I have no idea how to work the pole! Do I have to lift weights in order to do it? Please, any info would be greatly appreciated! :'(

I too have always been curious how some dancers can do these crazy things on the pole. I can do one simple spin around the pole but that is it. I would imagine climbing the pole and doing anything else takes some arm strenth. I would recommend lifting weights a little bit and during a slow hour if it is allowed at your club, go up onstage and just practice a little bit. That is how I learned to spin. Good luck!

Time, and tenderness. Work the pole for fun, not money. Men prefer a dancer sidling up and cooing to them at the edge of the stage than a crazed stage show up on the cold, distant pole. Now, after a while you can learn when and how to incorporate pole work (to attract people to the stage, when it's slow....or when you want to show off) but especially in these hard times for strip bars, when you get someone at the rail, keep them there.
Stretch, stretch. Light weights. Slow, slow progession. Ask other dancers for tips and instruction. Watch lots of girls.
Some girls can do some tricks and a few can do all of them. Over time, you'll pick up faves and learn what looks best for you.
Men seem to be very very weak to the little pole tricks of leaning on the pole and bending over, sliding down and squat- sitting......of course, they're crotch watching. Some clubs do not allow "crude" looking tricks. Be advised.
    Good luck, sweetie!

That picture is the one move on the pole I always wanted to be able to do but never was able to!
