1.You just take the brush and dip it in the powder, but just very lightly, so you have basically covered just about 1or 2 millimeters of the hair.
    2. Then you slightly bounce the brush in the top (cover) of the bottle, so the exes of the powder stays in the top.
    3. then you slightly blow few times with your mouth in to the brush, so the exes powder goes away again and then you just start to blend it on your face.
When you feel like you need more powder you just dip it in the top, where is the exes powder instead of the bottle and repeat everything else.
Is so easy and you basically use the minimum of the powder, so the powder last you for very long.

Hope you understand what I’m saying. I don’t know explain it any better.

I mostly agree with this, but I think it's unnecessary to blow on it too.

Basically, the people at Bare Escentuals will tell you "swirl, tap, brush"

swirl on the powder from the pot, tap into the lid of the container, brush on your face.

You can use a concealer brush for blemishes or dark circles (I also use a lighter shade of the minerals for this) and blush...and then "seal" with Mineral Veil. I love their eyeshadows too and the same technique applies.

    From the instructional video:
    "Swirl, tap, buff"
Kit should have 3 large brushes and 1 smaller, thinner one. Foundation, glee, warmth, mineral veil powders.

    1. Open the foundation powder and tap just a small amount of powder into the inside of the cap. No more than a dime-sized amount (which is alot).

    2. Take one large brush (if your set came with a short fat one, use that) and swirl it around in the cap until the powder is all picked up by the brush. Tap the brush lightly on the side of the cap once or twice.

    3. Buff the powder onto your face with the brush, in small circular motions. All over. If you want coverage on your neck, do that too.

    4. There should be a smaller, thinner brush in your kit, which is for concealing. Lightly dip that brush straight into the powder, tap the cap. Brush it on around your eyes to cover dark circles, onto blemishes, anywhere you want extra coverage or concealing.

    5. Go back to the first brush again, if desired tap a TINY amount of powder into the cap and swirl the brush into it, tap the cap. Buff it on your face again, particularly where you used the concealer brush, to blend any uneven spots.

    6. If you have the "glee" powder, tap a TINY amount (like a spec or two, this stuff is potent) into the cap, swirl another large brush into it, tap the cap. Buff lightly onto the apples of your cheeks.

    7. Next, warmth. Tap a TINY amount (again, potent stuff, a spec or two) into the cap, swirl the brush (same brush you used for the glee) into it, tap the cap. Buff onto cheek area, over bridge of nose, chin, forehead. Where ever you want a warm glow. For daytime it even looks nice to buff a little warmth onto your upper eyelids, just under the brow area.

    8. Finish, mineral veil. Tap a small amount (like the foundation, no more than a dime-size) into the cap, swirl the third large brush into it, tap the cap. Buff all over your face. Even around eyes and eyelids.

It seems like a lot of steps but it really only takes a few minutes and isn't complicated. It takes a little practice to get used to it after years of using liquid or cream foundations, and to get used to how much to use. Practice at home a few times. Once you get used to it, you won't want to use anything else. It seems to help if you use the same brushes for the same powder each time. One for foundation, one for concealing, one for glee/warmth, one for mineral veil.

For work I use all my regular eye makeup and lipgloss over the bare escentuals stuff, but if I use any makeup outside of work I just use the bare escentuals, a little mascara and lipgloss.

The kit from the infomercial has all the brushes, Glee and Warmth, but if she got her stuff a la carte from Sephora, it might not be all the same stuff.

I'm adding this in case there is any confusion because Bridgette's post is based on the assumption that you have these things. In my opinion, these cosmetics are the staples, but the brushes suck. I got all new ones from Target.
