Default Wedding rings. Do you wear them?

I am about to become engaged (I hope!) and am wondering what to do with my ring while I'm dancing. My man is OK with my dancing career. He wants me to wear his ring but I am worried about it getting stolen, and I'm concerned about how it will affect the attitudes of my customers. I know there are a lot of married girls that that don't wear them and very few that do. What is the most prudent thing to do here? Do I leave it in my glove box and put it back on when I go home?

I actually wear a ''fake'' engagement ring.(It was my grandmothers) to keep guys from asking me out on dates ect...Plus some guys are turned on by the fact that you are unavailavle I guess it add's to there fantasy.
I actually make more money and have more customers approach me on the days I wear my ''engagment'' ring.
But you should do what makes you the most comfortable.
If you like acting like you are single or would just perfer to not let your customers know that you are married then don't wear it.
Also, you have to be careful that you don't lose it. :o
    That would really suck!
Eiether way in my opinion it dosen't seem to effect things all that much.

Also, If your having a bad night looking down at your hand and knowing there is someone at home who loves you sometimes makes a bad night bearable.
    Just follow your instincts.
If you have a wierd feeling about wearing it for some reason then maybe you shoulden't.
But regardless if you wear it or not make sure it's based on what you want not anyone else's opinion.

I've been dancing for about five months now and have been engaged the entire time. I've experimented working with my ring and without and haven't really seen any difference.
I do like to wear my ring better, because like magdalena said I can look at it and feel good on bad nights.
I have talked to a few girls at my club about it and some use it to attract guys and some leave their ring at home for their selling techniques. I think it all depends on your style of selling/flirting.
If you decide not to wear it I would definately leave it at home when you go.... that way there's no chance of it getting lost or stolen.

    Nope, not yet
Actually me and my boyfriend have a ritual with the ring. Since it was my grandmothers it means alot to me and plus it has a pretty large stone in it. Anyway, my BF will eiether wear the ring or put it in his pocket for a few hours before I go to work.
Then when it's time for me to go he slips it on my finger. I think of it as my good luck charm. And like I said it reminds me of him when I am at work and sometimes when it's slow and your just not feeling it touching my ring will give me a nice, warm fuzzy feeling and something to look foward to-getting home to my boyfriend.

He has been in once. It was his first time to a strip club ever.
I was so nervous when I got on stage. I diden't want to make a mistake up there while he was watching.
Luckily, he enjoyed tipping me and when I got down I gave him his very first lap dance
It was so hot that some guy actually came over and put money in my g-string.
Then after he left guys were literally lining up to get a dance with me thinking they were going to get the treatment he got
It was fun and he picked a good night to come in becouse it was pretty slow and my manager wasen't working that night.(No bf's or husbands allowed)
When I went on stage I had the dj play our ''song''.
It was sweet. But I don't want to make it a regular thing.
I can't actually ''work'' when he's there. I just want to spend all my time with him.
Becouse it feel's like a night out. Plus, I don't think he would enjoy seeing me give a dance to other guys.

i've never taken either of my rings off since the day he put them on me.(it's a respect thing) i may turn the engagement ring stone down so it isnt so noticable. honestly i've only had a few notice/comment on it in 4 years. we were engaged for a year and have been married for 3, 6 altogether! if people ask if i'm married i say no. except for special curcumstances

I have to agree with what Magdalena said, I think she hit it right on the nose, it's all what you are comfortable with.

I used to take my wedding rings off until the day my fingers swelled up. Now they are stuck on. Has it made a difference in my money, no. Some guys notice it, some don't.

When I did take them off I would keep them in my purse, which I always hed with me or lock them in my locker. I do feel more comforatble with them on though, I know they won't get lost. The diamonds are from my mom's engagment ring and a ring of my sisters and a ring of mine. My father and sister are both gone so the sentimental value is irreplaceable, I would die if anything happened to them.

It's definitely how it makes you feel. My fiance used to force me to wear mine, but after I lost a stone and had to get a new form for the ring because the other got too flimsy from all the work, he let me take it off. Instead, he actually bought me a different ring, not as fancy, but just as nice. It doesn't look like an engagement ring, but it means the same thing.
Wearing the real one really hurt my business because guys wouldn't get dances from a "married" woman. So, I wear the less fancy and feel fine about it, it doesn't hurt my money and my guy sees it on my finger every time I come home.
Please don't lick me, it tickles..

I wear my ring. More often than not, they don't even notice. It's not your hands they're paying to see, you know? If it's a matter of getting lost or messed up, put it away but I've never seen it as a problem with getting dances.

Since I got married I wear my ring all the time, for the most part single guys dont even notice or care about it, and since I work in vegas the majority of my customers are married men here on vacation or for the conventions. Because most of my customers arent locals they dont really try and pick me up to date me so to say cuz they are leaving so in effect whether I am married or not doesnt really concern them. Also many of the guys I dance for seem to like the fact that I am married, especially the guys that come into the club for bachelor parties, because they are nevervous about getting married and ask me questions about being married all the time. For me leaving my ring on is the best option and many of the other married girls do the same since it doesnt really affect earnings either way where I work.

Customers literally look to see if I have a ring on my finger or not. I made the mistake of wearing my ring...ONCE. This one customer was so pissed because he didn't have a chance with me for any OTC activities that idiot told every other customer that I was wearing a ring and it royaly messed with my money. Never again! My ring STAYS in my bag in my locker when I'm at work!

Friendship or engagement rings offer determined club customers a "challenge". But wearing a wedding ring in front of prospective customers is a certain kiss of death !

This is way more important to men than we ever say. It is not about insecurity or trust, it's about taking the marriage seriously.

Whatever you decide, make him a part of it. He'll remember.
