I currently dance at the Roaring 20's and I love it there. The've completely remodeled it, so it just went from looking like a trash can to a genie bottle. It's a small club, the only small club on Broadway I'd recommend dancing at. All of the tiny clubs are nude.

I've lived here in CA my whole life, and have worked at three clubs:

Started at Roaring 20's in SF. Lots of money, but the clientele is not exactly upscale. Dancing in SF is pretty hardcore, honestly I just wasn't up to it. I have visited Hustler and Garden of Eden as a customer. I was impressed with Hustler: gorgeous girls and a great atmosphere. Garden of Eden is almost identical to 20's.

Moved up to Sacramento. The community/lifestyle/pace of Sac is WAY different than that of either SF or LA. The three are apples, oranges, and grapes. I would definitely recommend looking into Sacramento to work because the cost of living is much lower than SF or LA, and there is definitely money to be made, you just have to find your niche.

In Sac I started at Showgirls City Limits. It was fun, laidback, and 99% of the girls are total sweethearts, but the money FOR ME wasn't enough. I was making $150-$250 average for each shift, with $300+ being a good night. However, I have a friend with the same amount of dancing experience as I do who averages $400 a night. There is money there but only if you have regulars or are a VERY good hustler. I found weeknights to be more profitable than weekdays because the weekday crowd consists of lonely hearts who want to spend time and money with one girl instead of guys with their friends who are there to watch the show and get 4 dances from 4 different girls.

Now I work at Gold Club Centerfolds, and I am very happy with the money I am making. Centerfolds is hands-down the nicest club in Sacramento, maybe even the best in the valley. I average $300-$600 a night. Centerfolds is much more competative than City but if you work hard and ignore some of the bullshit that goes on, you will do fine.

Anyway, don't write Sacramento off. Lady is TOTALLY off-base in her assessment of Centerfolds, it is a nice club and there's plenty of money.
