    Default ANNOYING CUSTOMER ALERT

there is a guy whom i met at the club who really annoys me. He makes me feel guilty about not meeting him outside of the club, tells his friends i'm his significant other, he just really brings me down at the club. How do I let him know that I want nothing futher to do with him

Is he paying you money!? I sincerly hope so. Sometimes with this job your job as a dancer is to soak up other guy's negative bullshit. Deal with his crap ( only if the money he is paying you is worth it!) but don't allow yourself to feel guilty just pretend for him. Amuse him, play along. Just act don't really let it seep into your reality. After you deal with him just pat yourself on the back for a job well done and move on to the next guy who will want you do be someone eles!

The most effective way to rid yourself of this man is to let security/management handle it for you. Let them know that not only is he making you uncomfortable at work, but that since you are uneasy, it is also affecting your money.

Then, get a stopwatch to see how fast his behavior changes.

I totally agree! Let the bouncers take care of him.

If he's paying you then he's a customer..... not a S/O. If he doesn't understand that he is dullusional.

Bouncers do a great job at taking care of problem customers. But, the only problem i have noticed, it is their job, and some customers don't take it serious enough.

I would be nice, but firm. Tell the customer you would not go to his job and bother/lie about him. (of course let him know he is a bit of a bother to you.)
After saying this, kindly walk off, and do not have conversation again. You have to stop all forms of dealing with him, so he may want a dance after you tell him to kindly stop, and offer alot of $$$ in hopes of getting you to break. Been there, done that shit. It never works.
    Cut him off.

This dude's not annoying, he's mental.

um.. Better tell him to shut up quick, because what he is saying could potentially hurt business(other customers that think you are taken by the smuck) and ostracize you from the girls you work with.

Cut him off completely - no dancing, no casual chit-chat when he's there, nothing. Be as tactful and polite about it as possible, but do it and make it stick. That said, not trying to scare you but you should go back and read posts re "security," and be extra careful for awhile. While it's unlikely anything will ever happen, guy obviously has a skewed view of reality as it is - bears watching your backside for awhile after you cut him off.

If he is spending money, play the game. If not, just don't go and sit with him. Or do a drive by, basically say, "Hi good to see you tonight! I have someone else waiting for me..."

In his presence, you could also change your personality into something that turns him off. Ya know, "accidentally" spilling his drinks and putting boogers on him, farting in his face during a dance or at every opportunity in the presence of his friends, demand $300 on the spot for being his "significant other" and walk away even if he pays or not.

If I was in that situation I would probably tell him in a very unpolite way that he is definitely not my BF. And then I would never acknowledge him again. (And I would hope to be able to do it with his friends there.)
