    Default Another Hair Extensions Question

    OK...
I already have long hair. What I'm interested in does not include permanent extensions. I want to add different chunks of color to my hair, but not permanently. I have looked everywhere for temporary, clip-on pieces, but I cannot seem to find them.
If anyone knows anywhere I can get these, please let me know.
Sorry I had to make a new thread on the same topic, but as it's a different type of extension, I figured I'd give it a shot.

I worked with a girl who used to "bond/glue" different color hair to small sections of her scalp for a highlighted effect. I don't know if thats something you want to consider ?

i had some of these a couple of years ago. specifically, blue and purple chunks adhered with the cold fusion method. they stayed in for like a month, and came out easily. not too much damage since i only did a few at the salon. they looked fuckin rad though.

now, i have clip on colors (blue purple pink) from Sally's Beauty Supplies..not as long as the other extensions, but like barettes. many colors there too. hopefully something you'd like. happy hunting

Manic Panic makes clip in color strips. You can search for them on the web or find them on ebay or you could also search for hair falls that tie into your hair over a bun (or buns).

the best way to get extensions is to have them "sewn" in at the Salon. I had some synthetic dark red pieces put in my hair just for color highlights... they just grab a chunk of your hair and use thread to tie the synthetic piece in. It stays from 2 to 3 months in the hair. After 3 months, it was still in my hair good...so I just cut the thread and it all came out fine. You can even re-use them if you want. It doesn't damage your hair like dye or using glue. The string used will match the color of your hair -light or dark and stays in really well. I want to have it done again, just a little low on money right now.. My Salon charged $15 per piece sewn in and if it ended up being alot of pieces in your hair and over $60 then they just charged you a flat fee for the process. I definately recommend it.

If you only want to add a few color chunks and dont want to pay a lot for them. I suggest pinch braids. They are easy to remove , inexpensive, you put them where you want in your hair. You dont have to worry about them falling out, and they move like your hair so it doesnt feel stiff (like glued or sewn in tracks can feel) . They pinch a little hair at the top near the scalp, braid in two or three loops and the rest is your new highlighted or colored hair! You can see the braided part because its covered by your natural hair.
Hope that might help a bit.

you can get clips to sew onto the hair and clip them in and take them out no damage done to your hair, and if you want color buy humain hair and dye it then sew clips onto it and clip em in
