I finally got my copy of Vol. 2 (Floor Work and Dance Moves) after waiting a month and a half for it. I'm sorry, but if I danced like that I would get laughed out of my club. I don't think my customers want to watch me step-ball-change. That's the shit I did when I was eight years old in my tap dancing class! I can't believe I paid $45 for that. I'm sending mine back for a refund, though I assume I'll have to give up the $10 for shipping. Oh well.

I agree, AnnaPDX. I ordered her video right before I started dancing, and her video is way outdated. I'm sorry, but you will look like an idiot if you dance the way that she dances in her video. I only ordered the Floor Work and Dance Moves video. I heard her Pole Work video is decent though.

IMO, the best way to learn how to dance is to go to a club and watch the girls on stage, and then go home and practice.

That truly is the best way to learn. I have heard that the S-Factor book is very helpful too. Aren't there S-Factor videos too ?

I also didn't find the S-Factor book very helpful, although maybe I would've if I'd gotten it before I started dancing. I bought the book several months after I'd started, and by then I had already picked up pretty much all the moves she shows just from working and watching the other girls and figuring stuff out.

I haven't seen Carmen Electra's videos but from what I've heard/read they're not really meant to help actual dancers pick up new moves, they're for non-dancers to get a workout while they pretend to be a stripper.

I didn't like Fawnia's floorwork video but her polework one seemed okay if you want to learn it. She completly updated the look of her website recently with different pics- I guess that site is getting lots of hits or selling lots of videos.

I read the S Factor at Barnes and Noble. Since I've been in this game for a few years now, the only thing I needed to look at was polework. Well, unless you have a pole right there to practice on, its going to be hard to retain all of that information unless you take the book with you to work on a slow day and practice on the side stage...assuming management will let you, which the probably won't!

Also, my current club no longer has poles so..........

I agree that Fawnia's floorwork video is pretty bad, but the polework video is very good for the basics. The s-factor polework video is supposed to be out oct. 15. I have pre-ordered it from the s-factor website.

I got the male dancer dvd from her series after reading some posts here about a year or so back.

It was not so good, and inspired me to do my own version. I wrote a book for male strippers as a result, but no dvd (maybe later).

The guy featured was a good enough stripper, but pretty well all the info was useless. The interview she did with him was not what I would call professional, or educational, or instructional. And it made up most of the dvd. The rest was watching him strip whilst providing a commentary over mixed in music (so dance moves were counter to any rhythm or beat) - which I could have seen at a strip club if I wanted to.

I found one pole work DVD that looks absolutely awsome. The website shows a preview http://www.poletricks101.com/poletricks/default.html

yeah poletricks 101 is great for a extra umph of tricks but this is far from a beginning polework video its not even for intermediate polecat .

I have this video...it's great to watch...but it's for VERY experienced Pole Kittens. If you are a newbie...I would not suggest getting it unless you want to watch it for inspiration!!

I also didn't like this video. Good concept, but it cuts off some of the hand/foot positioning...while not a BIG deal...kind of annoying.

Pole Tricks 101 has been one of the best I've seen. Definetly for those who know what they're doing though. As far as Tawnia, I've only seen previews. Personally I think she's too fast or jerky I should say. Doesn't seem to flow well, yes that's it.

If you travel to different clubs and keep up on what they're doing, you should be able to find new moves.

The dance videos suck, I agree, but the pole work video is very good. What a hot body!

I got the pole work video and it sucks. All it is is spins. I wanted to know how to do some badass pole tricks but instead I got to learn how to spin around in circles. I was very disappointed.

Ok, all i have to say about the S-Factor YES, WITHOUT EVEN SEEING IT, ONLY THE COMMERCIALS IS:
    F**K that lady!
she has enough damn money, she can be kinda sexy i guess the way she moves her butt, but that lady is bankin' on us. before you know it, every average jane is going to have that instead of her pilates video...which is fine. but then all the men are going to stay home to watch their wives/girlfriends practice.
EITHER WAY, that woman has enough damn money, make those men come see US!!

^ What? She is not a Pilates instructor...are you sure you are talking about the same woman? Besides...she's doing the same thing you are...she's just marketed it more...so...what gives?
