    Default World's Colliding

I'm a bit conficted, on my last visit to my local SC (see trip report) I spotted a relative of mine working (no, not as a dancer), this has left me a bit unsettled. It's a fairly large club and I'm not sure if she spotted me or not and I didn't go over and speak with her, I just didn't know how to react to this development, the club has always been my safe haven from work and family, now as George Constanza would say "my world's are colliding".

I'm just not sure how comfortable I would be if word started spreading amongst the family about the PL relative who she see's in the club by himself all the time. There are other clubs I can go to but I really like this place and don't really want to stop going. Then I'm also thinking, it might not be a bad situation to take advantage of either.

Anyone have any words of wisdom for me?

Any idea what the family thinks about her working there? Is her place of employment a secret from the rest of the family? If so, she won't be saying anything about you being there.

How often do you see her outside the club? Assuming she did not see you, tell her you heard she was working there and see what her reaction is. Can you trust her? If so, just tell her the truth, that you are a regular and the rest of the family doesn't need to know.

Although my family doesn't know I'm a SCJ, if they found out it wouldn't bother me. It's not like their shit doesn't stink. LOL.

Any chance of an employee discount? Remember what George sez "It's not a lie if you believe it".

that is a tough situation....I probably would act like it never happened, go somewhere else and start thinking up an excuse of how I ended up in a strip club by myself. Like "oh my friends made me promise to go with them and I was waiting for them to arrive, but we got our dates mixed up..."

Maybe you could ask someone her work schedule and then come the days she isn't working.

GEORGE: Well that was a really stupid thing! You know what's going to happen now?

JERRY: World's collide. (points at George)

    GEORGE: Whe ... Well yeah!

JERRY: Because this world is your sanctuary and if that world comes into contact with --

GEORGE: YES! It Blows Up! So if you know that, what did you tell Elaine for?

JERRY: I didn’t know. Kramer told me about the worlds.

GEORGE: You couldn't figure out the “World's Theory” for yourself? It's just common sense. Anybody knows, ya gotta keep your worlds apart.
    (gesturing with hands going outward)

    ...

GEORGE: Ah you have no idea of the magnitude of this thing. If she is allowed to infiltrate this world, then George Costanza as you know him, Ceases to Exist! You see, right now, I have Relationship George, but there is also Independent George. That's the George you know, the George you grew up with -- Movie George, Coffee shop George, Liar George, Bawdy George.

JERRY: I, I love that George.

GEORGE: Me Too! And he's Dying Jerry! If Relationship George walks through this door, he will Kill Independent George! A George, divided against itself, Cannot Stand!
"So I was sitting in my cubicle today, and I realized, ever since I started working, every single day of my life has been worse than the day before it. So that means that every single day that you see me, that's on the worst day of my life."

I don't know if anyone knows, I had never seen her there before, one of the dancers told me she was new.

I don't see her often, to be honest I'm not even 100% sure it was her (although I'm fairly confident it was, as I had heard she was looking for new work). She's actually a real cool girl. I'll have to do some investigating. If I wasn't alone I wouldn't have felt so uncomfortable with it, perhaps a visit to the club with some friends is in order. There could actually be some advantages to having a club insider on my side.

LOL X, I hope she doesn't Kill SCJ Richard Head, I love that guy.

RH, my sons know I club but not to the extent that I do LOL and thank god they dont know how far things go sometimes LOL

I dont worry about them ratting me out to Mrs FBR...they wouldnt do that. Im banking on the assumption that anyone else who saw me at the club (relative, friend etc) would have some explaining of their own to do LOL

I think that's my concern, I don't mind my family knowing that I go to strip clubs, I'd just rather they not know the extent of it, LOL there are some things you just don't need to share with family.

After the last ATF, my life's almost a complete open book. Almost everyone knows.

Except my Dad, brothers and sisters. If they lived closer, they'd know, too. I actually got a phone call from that ATF when I was up there visiting and can't remember whether I did say she was or not. It just doesn't matter who knows.

LOL fish, I thought I was giving out too much personal info so I removed it, you never know who's lurking about out there and I would just prefer to keep some anonimity in this case. No, I haven't even spoken to her, just a bit of detective work on my side putting 2 and 2 together.

Here's an interesting twist to my world's colliding. For the most part I have been avoiding the club that my relative (a distant cousin) started working at (she's a cocktail waitress), I just thought I didn't need the headache, plus there are other clubs that I can visit anyways. Here comes the twist, much to my dismay on my last visit to a completely different club who do I see working but the same cousin doing the same job . I don't know if she quit the other club and started working at the new club or if she's working at both, I just can't win . I hate when world's collide .

Gee that sucks RH I guess you got 2 choices.
Keep changing clubs to avoid her or approach her and say hi. Who knows, she probably doesn't want her family to know she waitresses in a SC and your secret may be safe with her
Oh ya choice 3.... move out of state LMAO

Seeing as how I don't really want to move out of state, I've decided on approaching her the next time I see her there, she's a cool girl, and I know for a fact that no else in the family knows she works in a strip club (they think she works at a regular bar), so I'm guessing she'll use some discretion, and even if she doesn't I'm not too concerned, afterall I am a single guy entitled to my fun aren't I? Plus, it may work out to my advantage to have an "insider" at the club.

Dancers having the same problem, I'll simply relate a story told to me in the dressing room last night.

Vanessa had been dancing for four months, while telling her straitlaced Baptist family that she was a bartender for a top restaurant. Lo and behold, one day who should she see tipping the stage but her parents' pastor. Deciding to confront the lion in his den, she walked up to him and happily greeted him in the same manner she would have at church. "Pastor Dave, it's been so long! How have you been? You're looking well, is Mrs. Pastor taking good care of you?"

He told her parents that he had seen her at work and that she makes an excellent martini.

The moral of the story is that those with plenty to lose will keep your secret to save themselves. Ask around your family if your cousin ever found work or not and model your behaviour off their responses. If they say she found a great job waiting tables at a restaurant, then you're perfectly safe. If they say they have disowned her for working in a tittie bar, tread carefully.
He who fights with monsters might take care lest he thereby become a monster. And if you gaze for long into an abyss, the abyss gazes also into you. ~ Friedrich Nietzsche
