    Default wholesome area= ugly strippers?

I know this isn't going to sound very nice coming from a dancer, but is there a correlation between how wholesome/conservative an area is and the quality of the dancers?
I was just in Wisconsin and wow, the girls they had dancing! It seems almost every dancer there tries to get the ugliest tatoos they can. I am not anti-tattoo by the way. One of the dancers I saw had a giant VOID tattoo on her belly in big black bold type. There were very overweight dancers, coke-skinny dancers, and even a very pregnant dancer though she did have a pretty face.
Here in Texas where stripping is not that shocking of an occupation the girls are very attractive. Has anyone else noticed a relation?

Jenny, if you are representative of Texas, cant argue that there are some hotties down south

Ohios not a potted plant though (you gotta be old to remember that reference LOL). Look at Cyn...shes very attractive My club has a few that are just OK but the majority are from hot to very hot. Im north of Cincinnati and out of that conservative bullshit but we're still considered a fairly middle of the road area. So I guess Im not sure if your thesis is on the money or not.

One of my ATFs is an import from Ohio and she's a beauty. I think it has to do with population more than anything. Larger areas have more to choose from, smaller markets are more likely to have the more "hard core skanks," fewer of the "girl-next-door-hotties," and not as many of the "girl-you-wished-lived-next-door" types. Just a numbers game, and better talent moves on to better markets. I would suspect that the "conservative" community has some bearing, but probably not as much as market size.

FBR, how north of Cincinnati are you? I remember a business trip to Cincinnati once where I couldn't find any clubs, except for maybe twenty or thirty miles north. Had to end up playing golf instead. Played a nice new little course called Walden Lake or something like that, as well as an old private club closer to the city. Lost a seven-iron there.

Potted plant? Is that a reference to the Iran-Contra hearings lawyer remark?

Brendan Sullivan, Oliver North's lawyer at the Iran-Contra hearings in 1987. Had to look it up.

I visited Dayton a while ago (back when NCS was NCS) and had a good time in your fair city. Nice place you have there.

I think there are some good looking women in Wisconsin, they just don't seem to be in the stripper industry. I am originally from upstate NY in a somewhat conservative city and the girls I used to dance with were very pretty. I knew a girl that lived here in Texas for a while that was from Wisconsin and she had said that all the dancers she knew from there were ugly. At the time I thought she was exaggerating. I did see a few attractive dancers sprinkled here and there in various areas of Wisconsin.

jenny- i think texas is out of the norm but then again im biased a lot of people i do business with always complement the women in this state vs where they are from when they visit. as far as wholesome area=ugly strippers im not sure ive ever been able to pick up on the correlation, states like NV and MN have always seemed more "liberal" to me but i still think the home town girls win hands down.

Probably because we get as many "imports" as places as Florida or California. Texas is a whole 'nother country.

I think it has a lot less to do with politics than it does with a city being a good affluent market for clubs. Generally the smaller the city, the less affluent the population, and the uglier the dancers.

I see hot dancers (and ugly ones as well) just about anywhere, but I tend to think that the really attractive dancers recognize their potential, and eventually move to areas where they can make the most money. The less affluent areas gets stuck with the girls who are left. In Lincoln, NE it was quite a treat on some nights to see any girl above a '7' dancing.

No relationship to wholesomeness. There was this gig running around in S.F. featuring heavyset go-go dancers. They cater to people of all tastes not just wholesome ones. Then at the bondage a go-go they had the ugliest male go-go dancers I've ever seen. To each their own.

Wholesome and Conservative is not the same thing and both are wildly subjective. Just like Sleazy and Liberal is not the same thing.

If the stripping profession is generally accepted in a particular area that becomes the communities standard for wholesome. The notion that any community is the ideal of what the word wholesome generally implies in this post is probably a misnomer anyway. It is my firm belief that every community has it’s ‘dark under belly’ and I have a long held suspicion that the more wholesome a community makes itself out to be, the less wholesome they really are. They just hide it well. Humans is humans. Even Andy and Barney would go to Mt. Pilot every once in awhile. What do you think they were doing there? Getting lap dances of course! When the cameras were turned off Aunt Bea was giving hummers to Floyd and Emmitt! But I digress.

I agree partially with the ‘population density’ crowd in so far that small communities have less to draw from and that often results in less attractive dancers because they take what they can get. But just because a community is small does not mean it is wholesome or conservative, how those terms seem to be used here.

But that does not explain the dives with ugly dancers in large urban centers like Philadelphia for example? No offense to you Philly girls, it’s just an example. I was in a downtown Philly club where ALL the girls were hit with the U-stick. How did that happen? There is a large population from which to draw. Philly is obviously full of pretty girls and wealthy gentlemen. The simple answer: it was not an upscale club and trying to draw a specific clientele. Upscale products in general have better fit and finish, so to speak (or at least represent themselves that way). The clientele demands it, true or not.

But then how does that explain the babes in a place like Asheville, NC? A medium tier market on its best day. Maybe they have struck a balance between club style, market, disposable income, and available talent.

It’s probably nearly impossible to open a truly upscale place in a small community. In the same way that you rarely find a 4star restaurant in a town of 1200 people, Frostburg, MD the one exception I have seen. But in a very large community there is room for upscale, downscale, and the entire mid-range from talent to customer type.

I find the smaller the club, the less attractive the dancers tend to be overall.

Likewise the smaller the town, usually the smaller the club.
So far in my clubbing trips I have found that the nicer and larger the club,is directly proportional to the number of very attractive dancers working there.
