    Default :'(They want me out

I walked into work the other day, and one of the girls pulled me aside and says, "watch your back. The girls here are talking shit about you and just waiting to jump on you the first time you fuck up. They want you gone and they're watching you close." I was like..."ummm... thanks for the warning." :-/

They're jealous of you Amber. You're lots of fun, make sure the customers get their money's worth of your attention and focus, and you are getting lots of business as a result. It's a crazy business. I'm sure you don't break any rules of the club, so you don't have to worry about being caught like that. Just stick with the girls you like and trust and let the others be jealous. Not much you can do. My girl had the same problems and maintained a curteousy with all the girls, but just let those who didn't like her for being a great worker fade into the woodwork. Hang in there girl. Can you ask the Manager about it? I'd suggest you don't use names, though.

Amber you'll probably find a few jealous and catty girls at any club you go, so if you like your club, don't let these gals run you out of there. Its really unfortunate that shit like this has to go on.

If you haven't already, you might want to ask the ladies on the pink site how best to deal with this. I'm sure more than a few of them have dealt with it themselves.

    Best of luck.

Out of curosity what are the rules at K2? What do these other dancer "think" you are doing? Good move asking a bouncer to keep an eye on your interaction with the customers, who can argue much with that going on.... it'll probably blow over, and at least you know not all the dancers feel that way. its is probably alot fewer of them than you think too. Just kill them with kindness, beat their game with positive actions rather than stooping to their negaitive level.

MD's right. Jealousy is obviously a factor there. Obviously you've taken the place by storm. You come in there and you're non-stop busy...when some of em are just kinda hangin around. And they're probably like, WTF, she doesn't even have an expensive boob job like mine! What they don't get is that you have a good personality and you're fun to be around, and believe it or not, guys actually like that. Plus you've mastered your "web marketing techniques" If some of those girls were as net savvy as you are (ok, I know, I know, "you don't have a life, etc" ) they would probably increase their business as well. (not that I think that's the only reason you're here, but I'm sure it helps somewhat! )

In any case, hang in there. Don't pick any fights. That's what they want. As long as you don't give them anything concrete to complain about, there's nothing they can do. Turn your charm on them...try to be friends if you can, otherwise ignore them. I'm sure the management is happy that you're bringing business into your rather small club...they should have nothing to complain about. When it comes down to it, keeping you is more important than heeding somebody's bitchy complaints. Like I said, as long as you aren't doing anything to jeopardize the club...you should be fine.

oh yah, and doc's right too...other clubs would be worse. Other clubs in the Prov area are much worse from what I hear. From my conversations with other girls at K2U they say the dancers get along decently well there...and that's an unusual response (if people are being honest). Your club may not be the most lucrative from what I hear...but it's tops in atmosphere from both a customer and dancer perspective....

It's dancer politics for sure. They wonder how you win over customers when they should be worrying about how they should do the same. You have personality and seem to be very frank about what you do and say. At least that's the impression I get from your posts.

Guys want recognition and physical affection. You do that as well as any dancer I've seen.... You have no idea how emotionally limited some other dancers are. Imagine a beautiful girl saying, "You're the only person who ever really wanted my hugs."

I hope for their sakes that they are watching you closely because then maybe they can learn a thing or two about how to make good money in a strip club. Don't change a thing, the issues are theirs not yours, if you are doing nothing wrong you have nothing to worry about. Hang in there.

No mouth to private area? That one has *definitely* been broken at K2U.

Speaking from pers exp. or hearsay, BB? Even if it's true if I were you I'd keep it down...I've never heard of it happening there but it probably wouldn't take much to shut the whole place down...then Amber's out of a job and we have nobody to play with on here anymore....

regardless of wether or not its happened in the past. he didn't state by whom...and perhaps its been "way" in the past(unlikely). they'd have to see it to close the place down anyway, can't just go by what it says on SCJ....besides, they'd(local law enforcement/elected officials) would probably be more inclined to heavily fine k2u under the table, then to actualy file a motion for permiture cancellation.

Amber: Welcome to the wonderfull world of dancing. The customers are NOT the people you have to worry about! Girls see a newcomer making more money than they are and it's much esier to point a finger than it is to look in the mirror. If you take a look at TUSCL and SCL.com you will see anonymous dancer bashing on a fairly regular basis-guess what, most of the time it's other dancers doing it. I've had lots of good girl favs who got accused of doing bad stuff just because they have regular customers who are loyal to them. I even dumped a fav last year because she started trash talking about my ATF. This is just the way it is. Your not doing anything wrong and, ultimately, management wants moneymakers who don't cause trouble to stay around-but the dancer BS will never go away.

Amber...its obvious jealousy is at play. To echo what others have said, just focus on your customers and make your money. Let those that have a problem with your success just get the hell over it.

What you have experienced is worse in small clubs - fewer cliques represent a greater percentage of the total number of dancers than at a larger club. In the large club you can get that type of reaction, but from a much smaller percentage of the total roster...and it is far less significant. In some instances, when a majority of the women in a club have a major issue with one dancer, it results in dressing room mayhem.

So, if it just stays at the level of trash-talk, consider yourself lucky.

OK, point taken Sandy...however, my point is that I don't think we should draw any undue attention to any activities supposedly going on at the club, esp. if somebody's just talking out his ass. No offense, BB...not saying that you are... I'm just saying that if people read that extras are happening at K2U, word will get around fast and a reputation will build. I remember when they closed down a couple of clubs in Prov. for prostitution...it would probably just take somebody doing something they shouldn't at the wrong time to cause trouble. As far as I know there aren't any serious "extras" (BJ's, etc) happening at K2U...and no more mini-extras (boob touching, etc) than any other club in the area. So no sense riling up the chicken coop (or whatever that expression is..!)

In any case, Amber, like others have said..this kinda stuff that you're going through happens everywhere...don't let em get you down! [cheerup]

    Amber:

I think what you are experiencing is normal. You would be experiencing that at any club you worked. Unbeknownst to me, the other dancers have been watching my ATF out of jealousy. The following is one of my posts from “Things That Make You Go Huh?” thread on SW.

Dancer’s that don’t believe you can get and keep a well-behaved, high spending customer without dancing dirty.

I suppose that shouldn’t surprise me but it did. Because of the amount of time I spend in the VIP with my regular, I catch my share of ribbing. A typical comment might be: “Are you two still here? Are you getting married or what?” Since the girls seem to have no reservations about teasing us on the floor, I was wondering if my ATF was getting grief in the locker room. Fortunately it is not too bad. She gets a few snide remarks from those that are envious she doesn’t have to work the floor when I’m in. I did not think the girls would resort to spying though. A couple of visits ago a girl that has previously solicited my business, positioned herself with a customer only a few feet away from us. She was there about 45 minutes. Nothing unusual. She then went back to the locker room and told an assembled throng of girls waiting to hear dirt: “ She didn’t do anything!!!! (No extras) She was just dancing and I watched for 45 minutes. I can’t believe he keeps coming back!”

Well…. yeah!!! She gives great-personalized service, (in the traditional business sense) incredible dances, we have intelligent conversations on many subjects other than sex and we make each other laugh all night long. Why mess with a winning formula? We both leave happy every time.
Be thankful all they are doing is watching. It took a long time to realize what Biatch my former ATF was. She was evidently worried some of the new girls would cut into her business, make up stories about them and tell her customers not to get dances from these girls. In essence, she would try to get them blacklisted. When someone was cutting into her money, her and her cronies would make life so miserable for the new girl, she would quit. Looks like you have things covered so far.

Careful Amber! Those girls are very jealous of you, apparently because you are a top money-maker. Some of them will do ANYTHING to get you fired. I had this happen to me once. I'd been dancing at this small club a few months and had become a top earner quickly and some of the girls got jealous. They started running to the manager every five minutes (behind my back of course) and saying I was doing this and that when I wasn't. In fact, it was impossible to do anything out of line in that club because we had to do table dances on top a a box 18" off the ground, and if you so much as touched a guy's shoulder everyone would see (also due to the very open setup of the club). There's no way in hell I COULD have done anything wrong, even if I'd wanted to. I'm positive the manager knew it, but he still fired me simply because he was fed up with the other girls constantly complaining about me. This was even confirmed to me months later because I did go back to that club and one of the owners told me about it. If I'd been aware of what was going on I could have talked to the manager and possibly resolved the issue before I got fired.

Point is, now that you are aware that some of the girls are actively trying to get you fired, you need to do something about it. Talk to a manager. Tell him what your friends have told you. Tell him that you do your best not to break the rules, so if there's a problem you want to know so you can fix it. Tell him you want to keep working at that club and you'll do your best to avoid controversy. Tell him you think some girls may be trying to spread lies in order to get you in trouble. Tell him he can watch you all night if he feels you might be doing something questionable. Basically be straight up with him. Also be on your toes at all times at work - make sure you are doing everything right so no one has any grounds to complain about you. If he is a professional he will see the situation for what it is and ignore the girls trying to get you fired. If he is not, well sorry to say but you may be screwed there. Most likely you will be ok though if you talk frankly and openly with the management, not just the bouncers. Good luck sweetie you seem like a great dancer and I wish you the best!

PS - I agree with previous poster who said situations like this are worse at smaller clubs. In larger clubs there are so many girls you tend to get lost in the crowd and everyone tends to be less concerned with what other girls are doing. This is a major reason I prefer larger clubs.

Hypothetical case: DD Queen Bee is the #1 moneymaker, clean cheerleader #2. In comes Miss Personality and goes to #1 fast. Weak cliques and intra-clique fighting, so the DD QB builds ad hoc alliance, but clean dancers start noticing what she lets guys do. Verbal "warning" to Miss P is a good sign the alliance has weakened.

A key consideration...it's just too bad that most bouncers and managers are customers in mufti. They dole out favorable treatment as the currency for dancers' attention. They are no less susceptible to a dancer shmoozing them than customers with full wallets. Only the most well managed clubs hire and keep bouncers who operate equably both with customers and dancers when enforcing rules.

Bridgette is right - be careful...one or more bouncers who have the ears of management on a more trusted level than you do may be allied with your critics.

Being sensitive to and properly assessing the political alignments in a club is a key to success there.

Do customers lie about what they've done with other dances in hoping to get more mileage? I've never had a guy say, "Well so and so let me do this" after telling him no to something.
Now why pretell would a customer do something like that?

You know how COMPLETELY honest we guys are:

    - The fish that I caught was THIS big.
    - The wife and I did it seven times last night.
    - The Bears drafted me in '74 but an unfortunate knee injury kept me from making the big money.

I wouldn't doubt it a bit if the nasty things being said about you originated with a customer. Like Almwizard said, try to be aware of whatever political alliances there are going on at your club and realize that they can extend farther than just your co-workers or management. I've seen a few dancers use their regulars to do some of their ahem, "dirty work" for them.

What is the issue that these other girls are taking you up on? Has anyone reported you to a manager? There's really no way you can prevent others from trumping up charges against you. Cover your ass, figuretively not literally. Keep your nose clean and be on top of things. It's rotten when you don't get along with your workmates.

Anyone that is elevated above others is the target of the week.

Everyone at K2U has done a little better because you started this! Guys who haven't been there for awhile or at all, have popped in to see you and others.

    I did.
