    - Fucking On the Open Roadways! Mind telling me WHICH roadway, so I can stay off of it?
    - At your place Uhh, no.
    - All you can handle! The spam you mean? My sentiments exactly.
    - I have the solution Me too. GO AWAY!
    - Why don’t you like me? It wouldn't be the spam now would it?
    - Meet me tomorrow Can I bring a meat cleaver?
    - See how Lolos tits got so BIG Too late, that was on the Learning Channel last night.
    - My shady past Your painful future if you don't leave me alone!
    - Response to your request WHAT request?
    - You may need this! Is it a spam filter that actually works?
    - slap my bitch up NOW! Mind you, this one came from a gal named "Janelle".
    - You sure will want it My mailbox back? yes, yes, yes!
    - I think we should try again Funny, I can't remember trying the first time.

    DC:

May I recommend to you and anyone else tired of spam that they try "Spamkiller." It was made by Novasoft and they sold it to McAfee. $29.95. Right now the are offering a $20 rebate at Comp USA's.

I've been using it for over a year and love it. You import your address book to start your friends list. It has a host of filters and you can make your own custom ones as well. If something gets blocked, it can be rescued. You never see the spam unless you choose to. A great program.

LOL... I'm sooooo disgusted with Spam that I am using quadruple filters.

These are guesstimations. I haven't actually run the numbers.
First is my ISP which happens to be Earthlink. Their filters catch about 75%. Next up is Spam killer. It gets another 15%. After that is Spam Pal. That and the Outlook "03 filters get 9.8% of the rest. That is probably the best you can do short of using a whitelist and blocking everyone else.

Spam Pal is good!!! It's free and easy to configure.

Your right HC, spam blockers can block mail that you may want to receive. I don't use any at all. I just use a hotmail account for responding to web sites and keep my personal account for personal stuff only.

Since this topic was bumped up, I thought that I'd share a piece of my spam with everyone. How the hell do I get on these lists?

I doubt that "Ben" from CT is real, but I'm insanely jealous of him.

Have any of you up in New England met Elaine by chance?

Can't say I've had the pleasure of meeting her, but I sure would like to LOL
Maybe one of your old girlfriends figured you could use it and put you on the list

Properly setup, the spam filters work remarkably well.

I should take a page from your book Chuck and open another mailbox for use with friends only.

I've had the same e-mail addy for 6 years. Just to give you an example of how bad my spam problem is....

In the last 14 days my ISP blocked 397 spams. I never have to check, they are all spam. When I first started using their filters, I checked every e-mail caught for 3 months. Their filter never kept a real message from reaching me.

Okay, the 397 averages 28.5 messages a day. Today is almost 11 hours old. Spam Killer has already blocked 20 messages. All Spam. The Spam Pal and Outlook filters caught 2 more. All legitimate mail made it to my inbox including topic notifications from SCJ.

Doc, the spammers generate their own e-mail addys as well as purchasing lists. You will receive spam even if you never gave out your address. My mom continually wonders why she gets penis enlargement ads as well as online viagra prescription info. LOL.
