    Default Should prostitution be legal?

The places I go to when choosing to purchase sex are legal and regulated....... Brothels in NV. or the Redlight District in Amsterdam. But I am among the few who can afford to just up and go to legal brothels whenever I choose, most people can not. I always think its strange that such services are limited to those who either already live in the area or can afford to travel there.... what about everyone else who is interested? Why is it illegal and a crime for them? Not to mention the unsafe asspects of unregualted prostitution.
Anyway- I am wonder what everyone else thinks. Especialy when it comes to regulation .

    So what do you think?

i dont think i need to realy comment, but i will. ofcorse it should be legal.

I took regulation to mean by the state(as in state/country/government), in which case i strongly disagree. however i think its a good idea for businesses to set up regulations.

that way you have options of regulated vs. unregulated (like in amsterdam). i dont like government, just adds corruption and oppression. let the business regulate itself....yes unregulated will be more dangerous, but its cheaper. let the service providers and consumers set the equilibrium prices for the risks/rewards associated with each.

to clear thing up if there is any when talking about regualtion I mean work permits......
Some things I feel should be required to maintain such a work permit would be:

    weekly STD testing
    no felony convictions

Sorry Sandy, I'm actually w/Mike on this one. The way that Amsterdam has it set up is the safest, most honest way of doing business, for both prostitute and customer. They even have a kind of union and health clinics set up to check the prostitutes for STD's and give them condoms, etc. While I never actually partook of the "services" when I was there, I have read up on it quite a bit, and I know that legalizing with gov't regulation is the way to go. No matter what laws you write you can never stop the "oldest profession" from going on, so you might as well make it as safe, clean, and honest as possible. My .02

they actualy have unregulated prostitution in amsterdam as well...although it may not be "legal", it isn't shut down(street prostitution). i think there should be regulation, just not by the government. lol, dont know why you'd be apologizing to me for disagreeing. i like the idea of unionizing, and its in the best interest of the employees/patrons/owners to have STD testing. Its my firm belief that this can happen without government interferance. Would happen through natural competition. "our men/women/animals(hey, whatever you're into over there) are cleaner than our competitors. Here is our list of entertainers and their most recent checkups/results.

That would be the best way to keep extras out of legitimate strip clubs, having places for those guys who wish to "relieve" themselves.

They need to legalize Prostitution and Pot. Think of all the road rage and crimes of passion that could be prevented by alleviating all that pent up agression and sexual frustration.

In an ideal world, every town would have some nice regulated countryside brothels where one could go to do their business. No different than a massage in my mind. It would raise some badly needed tax revenue for those local governments.

I'd also suspect with us men able to have a safe and clean means to "relieve" ourselves, the divorce rate and STD transmission rates would go down.

Would it hurt SC's? Probably, but hey, supply and demand right? At least then everyone would get precisely what they're looking for.

    Hell, I'd still go. [oogle]

One of our members sent me a PM inquiring about my cleanliness issues with contact dances and my admission of attending legal brothels-

I thought I'd public post my reply as others probably wondered the same thing at some point so here you go:

Excellant question- I admit I have some obcessive compulsive habit when it comes to germs and things and people being clean. My houses, cars, office are spotless- its a control thing that got worse after I lost my wife......
Anyway, I always bathe with the prostitute prior to any sexual interaction- I wash her hair, body etc- they seem to realy like it too, telling me its such a nice change or it makes them feel pampered. Plus it adds about an hour extra onto the time which = more $
And as you know legal brothels require weekly std testing. as a favor to the ladies I always bring my latest std test results as well. And I still use condoms ofcourse and rarely kiss. It may seem extreem to some men but all the ladies seem to really appreciate the fact that I am so clean about things. see its not the sex I see as dirty its the germs that I see as dirty- and just like Dr. say its best to wash your hands before you eat, to me its best to wash the body before sex or sexual activities.
With contact dances- there are several other peoples fresh germs, sweat, body odor, cologne, salvia etc. on the dancer and well yeah it disgusts me.

I hope that answers your question.
