Default The sensitive subject of a dancer's weight

I know something about a dancer's weight had been mentioned a while ago and didn't have good luck with the replies... can't remember exactly and I'm too lazy to go find it, so I'll ask another question! LOL That I'm good at!
Anyways... you've been going in to see a dancer for a while and you begin to notice her putting on some weight...at first it's okay, nothing real noticeable, but it doesn't seem to be stopping either...
    What do you do?
Do you mention it to her or pretend you don't notice?
At what point (if she didn't stop gaining) would it become a problem for you?
I know, I know... you're all sensitive guys that don't care about a dancer's exact weight, but hey, I'm shallow... I care what my gal (or guy) looks like... if she's gained alot of weight and it's making her less attractive in my book, there is a problem... it hasn't happened yet, but hypotheticaly, if it did, I might say something. I coach figure skating and have had to break it to a number of girls that their gaining too much pudge...lol... sounds bad, I know, but oh well... that's what I get paid for!
At what point do you speak up, if at all?
    Luv,
    Amber

Well, you all know me by now! You know what I am gonna say! There was this one dancer I got dances from all the time. She quit my main club. I lost contact with her for 4 months. I found out she was at this other club. I went to see her, and she put on a good 30 lbs. The first thing out of my mouth as she is hugging me is: "Damn you put on weight!" I am straight and to the point. Slap me or kiss me, the choice is yours! LMFAO!

Amber, I was sure it was not your own issue.... but you should know that you are one of the forum favorite targets for the jokes! ....and you should know I would still like you even at 300 lbs!

I like slim dancers.... and that's a major point of decision for me in select a dancer. However if the girl was already a favorite it would have much less importance if she gain weight.

i like healthily thin dancers. having fat doesnt' make you fat. much like FL id be more likely to get dances with someone whos thinner, unless ive gotten dances with them in the past. then i dont care. weight isn't an issue.

For some of us weight is an issue! I am thin, and have gotten dances from some women that can afford to lose a few pounds. I have to say, when they get on your lap, it can be uncomfortabe to say the least!

[email protected] Amber... you've hit a subject I'm downright anal on. When I first saw the girl that is now my ATF on stage, I could tell she worked out regularly. She was lean and cut. When I first got dances, she confirmed she was gym rat too. 6 months later, when I started getting dances regularly, she wasn't heavier, just softer. The cuts were gone. It was clear she had been spending less time in the gym. I said something a couple hours into the dancing and because of the way I brought it up, and the way I said it, was quite appreciative. Hey if you are spending that much, you want the best of the best right? LOL.

BTW- when it comes to that kind of thing, I'm my own worst critic. When prepping for a shoot, I can see changes in my own body hourly. I just now hit a point where the full six pack is back all the time. I can take my shirt off again. LMAO!

When a dancer puts on 30lbs, everyone notices, whether they think thats a good thing or a bad thing (cuz some guys do).

When an Iowa Kumquat farmer named Earl puts on 30lbs, everyone just assumes he just ate dinner.

See Earl at K2.. he is there all week

If a dancer began putting on weight and she no longer appealed to me, I wouldn't say a word, I'd just stop getting dances from her.
Now if she asked me why I stopped, then I might give her an honest answer.

A dancer recently made an interesting observation about another dancer who was five-seven and 100 pounds: "She's bulemic on a cocaine diet. How dumb is that?"

Saw a lady dancing; she was 5’5 and over 200 lbs. She had a beautiful face and could really dance. I don’t know why, but she was busy doing LD’s all night. I know she wasn’t doing “extras” cause the dances were in the open. Actually, she sat with me for awhile, I bought her a drink, and had a nice conversation with her. But I couldn’t bring myself to dance with her.
Hey some guys just dig the heavy ladies. Whatever floats your boat.
