Last night I was told that a dancer was sexually assaulted (unwanted penetration and not with a finger) in the lapdance area of a club I was in. Less than a year ago I was in another club where a dancer came running out of the V.I.P area in tears for the same reason . I would have to guess that if I know two cases in the last year where this has happened there must be many many more. I thank everyone will agree that no one deserves that.

I know I will be disagreed with for saying this, but as much as I do not like bouncers hanging around, I am beginning to feel that all dances should be supervised in some manor. I know many clubs have cameras, but I do not know if the cameras are monitored or how well they work in stopping anything before it gets started. I know guys that get extras and girls that give extras will not like this, but I would like to know what dancers and customers that do not get/give extras feel about this. I just think a dancers safety should be the number one priority.

At My club the bouncer is at the doorway to the vip room when you enter he moves but not to far and not seen but he's there. Have been to clubs with cams and don't like them (big brother) don't know if they record like Vagas?

Some clubs often keep a bouncer in or near the lap dance area to monitor EVERYTHING going on in there. Not just to deter any incidents (including anything consensual) from occuring, but to count dances so the club gets its take, and to warn everyone in case that LE is on their way in. It can be a bit disruptive to privacy, but as long as they don't get too intrusive and help protect the dancers, it really doesn't bug me that much.

But I think with all the concern over illegal activities and LE busting clubs, any decent minded club owner would be wise to have the lap dance area, and perhaps the whole club (including the dancers dressing room and his/her office) wired with cameras connected to a recording device. I'd also post signs throughout the club informing EVERYONE that they are being monitored. That alone might deter someone from trying anything.

The recordings could be helpful in a myriad of ways. The video might help sort out disputes, incriminate rulebreakers and exonerate innocent parties in cases where there were no human witnesses or in cases of disputes. Everyone is under that kind of surveillance at a casino all the time, so why not? Panic buttons, like the ones used in Nevada brothels, might not be a bad idea either.

I have zero problem with cameras or bouncers or both. I am not in a club to do anything other than get dances or spend time with my favorite "Fox". I kind of question any customer who would have a problem with security measures. Personaly, if I were a dancer I don't think I'd work in a club that didn't have cameras and/or bouncers, even if it were a no contact club.

Please don't get me wrong, I'm all for the dancers and my safety. I don't think cams do it. How long have banks had cams? How often do banks get robbed?

Rape is a crime. Lap dancing is not consent to rape. The negative image to stripclubs lets some guys think that they can get away with almost anything. Unfortunately, the dancers would have to rely on the same prosecutors who are trying to put clubs out of business. It will be hard to find a sympathetic prosecutor to go after the customer. It might be easier to sue the club owner on the theory of failure to provide a safe working environment.

I’m all for dancer safety also. Strip clubs are naturally going to attract the pervs, it’s the nature of the business, but bouncers are not going prevent a dancer from bring assaulted, he will only intervene after the fact. Cameras will not work either, they will only help document the event. I think the ladies control their own destiny.
There are a lot of good post on the pink site on how ladies can prevent unwanted touching and what to do when it starts to occur.
Hey, stripping is a tough business; it takes a tough lady to do the job.
