Default How to manage your strip club money

To many if not most of us it has been a traumatic experience trying to figure out ways to control our personal finances in order to continue our strip club forays and not risk our financial well being and keep our homes, cars, etc. I'd say, yes, carry a considerable amount of cash but you should have your credit card and/or ATM card handy, especially for private dances or VIP's. If you're able to split a VIP tab between club fee and dancer's take then pay the club fee in cash and the dancer's take with a credit card. Also, try drinking less or have bottled water or soft drinks, since it's less expensive. Besides, a drunk customer can be a real turnoff for dancers and also won't be able to have an erection during a private dance or VIP. Most importantly, have a positive attitude, if you choose the right club you will definitely get what you paid for.

Dude, once you start using the ATM and your credit cards, there is no going back! Dont do it! Just bring the amount of cash that you can afford to spend, and that is it! If you run out, you go home! Dont use up your credit cards on strip clubs!

Hey, what's the difference (other than the interest charges and the credit limit)? For example, you may have to use a credit card for cash advances, if you don't want to deplete your regular bank accounts. Oh, by the way, it's not that I'll run out of cash if I go to these clubs because I don't go everyday although I wish I could

It is a big difference Carlos! After 6 months or so, you will notice that you have a big credit card debt of over say $1000.00. Cuz most likely you wont pay it off every month. Then you will dig yourself a big whole. In general, only use credit cards when you have to! Not only for strip clubs, but other things as well! This is your personal finance 101 lesson for the week! I have seen it happen to people.

Ok, Money, what if I then open a tab for drinks and leave the cash for tips and privates/VIP's?

Carlos, I got myself in trouble using my credit card for VIP... when your in there and some lovely lady is making you feel good, it's easy to charge up a couple of hours and a few bottles of the "bubbly" .
I only use cash or a debit card, that way it comes out of my checking account. Also don't buy club money.. the ladies only get 80% on the dollar when they cash in.
    Just "show them the benjamins"

Oh I forgot. I usually use my company credit card for the bar tab... that way I can write off the expense. But be careful, try not to let them hold the card during night... strange things can happen.

No way José, merely_lurking, I won't stop going to strip clubs. It's still a lot more fun than drinking myself to pieces in a regular bar. I did notice (the day after, unfortunately) when I had my VIP's last Wednesday at Divas in San Juan the club handed two separate tabs, one for the club fee and another for the dancer's take. It turns out that they added $12.00 to the club fee. Who was I to do the math? There was certainly a very lovely lady making me feel GREAT (Bridgette, a Stripperweb/Stripclubjunkie member) but it was certainly not her fault.

Using a credit card in a club for anything other than a drink tab is DANGEROUS! Why are we here on this site? Because we are Strip club junkies! Dancers have told me stories of regulars who stopped coming in because they maxed out 2 or 3 credit cards buying dances and went broke. Unless you are paying your full balance every month when the bill comes usung credit cards is a time bomb. Go to clubs, have fun, spend what you can afford. High rollers go home alone just like the rest of us do.

Bring CASH with you! Do NOT buy funny money for dances! Not only the will a dancer get a certain amount taken out of her earnings, but, the customers will get charged out the a$$ (say at least 22%+) let alone the intrest rates on credit cards. Now that adds up VERY quick! At my old club, I'd be upfront about it with customers and tell them it is best to wait and come prepared with cash for the next time they see me. Customers appreciate the honesty, but my old club however........My current club, THANK GOD, does not partake in such charge card system.

Say you charge $500 in dances on credit card, the club will NAIL you for extra 22% which is $110 more! That's $610 TOTAL! On top of that, tack on $610 to how ever much monthly intrest rates the credit card company get you for... WOW! Talk about getting a heart attack upon see your monthly statement! :o

It is best to use ATM to get cash elsewhere BEFORE stepping foot inside the club. Trust me that'll save lots-o-money and you'll less likely get a heart attack when the bill arrives.

    Happy clubbing!

When you're at the club, the mind between the legs takes over the one above the neck. You won't realize that you spent several hundreds until reality hits you the next morning. I've seen my buddies get into a similar scenario where they find themselves limping home.

I agree with the other posters, leave the cards at home. At least with cash, once it runs out, you can call it quits.

For me, when I walk into a club, I want to spend money on the ladies in a very open and flowing manner, with out having to think about how much my total is and all the financial stuff. So cash is the way to go for me. What I carry in is what I plan to spend. I definantly learned from reading this thread, DO NOT USE CREDIT CARDS. Wow 22 percent is a killer. Trust me for 110 on 500, I can drive to an ATM outside the club. Thanks all for sharing. RG

only a putz is going to haggle over the price of a dance. And to add my 2 cents worth on the credit card issue, NEVER bring a credit card to a strip club, do you really want to be paying off that balance (+ interest) six months to a year down the road. Bring what you can afford and leave when it is gone!!!

I'd offer the same advice on financing a strip club trip that I would use at a casino:

Plan your trip (including how much you want to spend ahead of time). This will be your bankroll for the trip. Do not under any circumstances run up your losses even more by using the club ATM or your credit card.

Stop by the bank while it is open and make a withdrawl in person so you can get your cash in the exact denominations you want. Twenties are always important, but you'll probably want a wad of singles for stage tips. I can't tell you how often I've had to make change with one of the dancers because the waitresses are too occupied or don't have the good sense to give you change in ones when you buy a drink.

If you're low on singles and are resigned to getting cash from an ATM (many don't dispense ones) then withdraw a little extra. Then go buy $6.00 worth of gas. Or buy a meal at a fast food place between $5-6. That way you get $4.00 change on the transaction.

Some clubs (even nice ones) are in not so nice areas of town. At the club, keep your wallet ON YOUR BODY at all times and you might want to keep your big bills hidden in a separate place (socks, extra pockets in cargo jeans, etc.). Don't flash your wad of Andy Jacksons until you have to.

If you're queasy about carrying too much cash, then substitute travelers checks, but I would advise calling the club before you go to ask what their policy is on cashing them.

Never use club "funny money" for the reasons already stated, and because at a lot of clubs it's only good that night. It obviously is also useless outside the club.

Don't drink yourself into a situation where you can be taken advantage of, esspecially by your own stupidity.

Save a little cash for the trip home.

And to paraphrase an old gambling maxim, "Don't tip a stripper with money that you can't afford to lose."

All solid advice. Well, I'll admit to violating the No-CC rule myself, but that's because I like to use it to cover my drink tab (which is normally $30 or less).

I've seen many many men go into some pretty nasty debt from strip-club addiction. A few of them even had to take second jobs to pay for their forays, or the aftermath from them. So be careful.

You may be wondering why I, a dancer, may be concerned that you might overextend your finances? Well, it's simple... If you overextend yourself financially, that means you are broke. If you are broke, you either won't be visiting my club or you won't tip well when you do. And if you don't come to my club, or you feel you can't adequately display yourself as a high-roller, that means you are also less likely to bring extra business in the form of your buddies and their money. That means my personal pocketbook takes a hard hit, and I get to eat Ramen with tap water instead of Shrimp Primavera or Sushi with white wine... Sooo, in view of the cause and effect relationship here, it behooves me to remind you not to spend more than you can capably afford....

After all, I do love my seafood and pasta.

I agree 100% with McCain. To that I add that if any one of you guys have a ATF and have a great relationship with her, then it's not necessary to spend too much on her on any given night. Do spend time with her, tip her, buy her drink, have a private and/or VIP with her if that's what you guys are into, just don't go overboard. That way you'll have your return visit guaranteed much sooner than you wish.

I can't reiterate enough the common sentiment expressed here; do not, I repeat do not take a credit or debit card to a club! The very best way to control your expenses is to bring only as much cash as you can afford to spend to the club; it's way too easy to overspend if you have a credit card convienently at hand, especially if you've been drinking.

Leave the plastic at home, period!!!!!

Default Charge up a debit card

From a long time player I hid it in a variety of ways but......

I opened a business bank account withg a a D/B/A and gave it a name sounding like a brokerage firm (don't want to be specific).

A couple of times a month electronically pay my account at this company with money from my regular account that the wife has access to.

She never gives it a thought in between other similar bills all of which I pay at the same time online.

I can then use the debit card from that account for cash advances or running tabs and stay within the limit I set for myself every month.

I do as a business expense write off a lot of strip club forrays....

    It's a legitimate expense.

I own an export company selling to a lot of third world countries.

I entertain clients from Indonesia, Pakistan, Vietname, Bulgaria and other countries monthly.

The number one place they want to visit are stripclubs. And since most "dancers" in clubs in other countries double as prostitutes they tend to believe most of our ladies are available for sale as well.

So Yes entertaining is a valid expense.

I actually started this practice when I traveled as a semiconductor engineer. I ran into a problem with unions in Houston and took a bunch of guys to Ricks for lunch..... 12 hours ad $4k later I had solved all our Houston related problems!

I have a difficult time meeting ladies!
