    Default "Addicted to Strippers" article

Has anyone ever seen this article before? Apparently, it was written a few years ago. I wonder what ever happened to the guy. Any comments?

Although, some of the statements by this guy are world-class PL stuff. I believe that some of the statements a lot of us can identify with.

Who hasn't thought about taking one home?
Or been used over and over by the same girl.

I guess I was shocked by the circularity of the story, over and over. I like to believe that I have it honed down to entertainment or an expensive hobby, but I have been doing it for a long time. And my reasons for still doing it aren't that different than at the beginning.

The worst PL part of his story shows when he says he's there 6 nights a week and almost waiting for it to open(!) But I have to admit if there was an apartment over one of my favorite clubs, it'd be tempting to rent it.

That article reminded me of those Penthouse letters in Penthouse magazine! That story had to have been made up.

money I agree..the story is almost too goofy to be true. Truth can be stranger than fiction sometimes tho.

I do remember this one guy who used to come to fav club when I first started going there. I never met him but I saw him around. Based on what the dancers have told me, he sounds very similar to "Paul". Quite a few of the girls felt sorry for him and wouldnt take his money but several took all they could get. That saddened me..its like taking advantage of a mentally challenged person.

As far as the overall theme of being addicted to strip clubs...guilty as charged LOL I work 70+ hours a week and clubbing is my downtime. Id be even more of a bastard when I get home if I didnt hit the club once or twice a week.
Once again I have embraced my addiction and have put off the moral dilemma to another day.

Man, after reading that article, I felt like a loser by association. It is a good wake up call to keep things in perspective. OUCH!

Ok, you guys might not believe this but I KNOW this guy from the article. I used to work at Mettler's (in Mankato, MN) It was my first strip bar and I danced there for 6 years while I was attending college at MSU.

His writings are very true, not fake as claimed by someone on here. I read this a long time ago but forgot all about it.I almost choked when I saw Mettler's.

Let me say that some of his stuff is baloney (but they were his true feelings.) I don't think the girls lead him on as much as he would like to think. I was not mentioned in his writings but he was one of my first regulars. Joey one of the girls mentioned was one of my best friends and we even were roommates for a few months. Jeri is also someone I know pretty well.

I would do about 2 dances for Paul every night he would come in. After sometime of this, he started to whine to me about his problems. He really WAS a virgin and he really was spending all of that money in the club. He worked at the local Walgreen's and I knew he didn't make good money. When I found this out I stopped dancing for him. He was ridiculed by many of the employees and dancers for spending so much $$$. Apparently he was taking cash advances on his credit cards.

He is true in saying he was not a bad looking guy. He did dress nice and he always was a gentleman. The trouble is he was so socially inept. Incredibly shy and not the kind of person most ladies would look for in a guy because his social relations made him appear to be missing a little something upstairs.

I don't know what happened to him. I certainly could call the club and find out if he ever comes in anymore. He had it bad. A very very sad case. I always told him not to come into the bar anymore wasting his money because he deserved better and was NOT going to find a gf in a strip bar.

As sad as his story is, it doesn't quite compare to another regular customer's tale from the same bar. I forget the guys name (because he wasn't a regular of mine, or anyone elses for that matter after Marie got to him) but he fell hard for Marie. This guy divorced his wife for this dancer (an older lady who was also married herself) The story goes that he and Marie did form some sort of relationship. To what extent I cannot say for sure. (People said they were sleeping together.) Marie never left her husband for him (her husband was a very wealthy man. She ended up getting pregnant by her husband (she said it was to keep him around, so he couldn't leave her) and her customer "friend" killed himself.

Cassidy...wow...I assumed the article was total bogus :o Guess it takes all kinds. It was nice of you to back off him when you learned that he couldnt really afford to do what he was doing. That shows some serious class.

Heh, thanks I guess. Yeah I think there were even times I was drunk and feeling sympathetic and would give him a free dance (they were only $5 at that time anyway)

I called a friend who still lives in the area (she used to be a waitress there) she said "Paul" (that's not his real name) doesn't come in anymore.

I am curious what happened to him. He probably filed bankruptcy (sp?)

I remembered one other thing about him thta was kind of amusing. He used to wait for us dancers to come out of the dressing room (we closed 15 minutes before the bar closed so he would still be out there when we were dressed) and ask for another last hug before we left or if he could carry our things out. Though sweet, it soon became annoying as it was EVERY NIGHT! He was harmless though. Poor guy. I hope he's alright.

Yeah, he couldnt afford what he was doing so it could only last so long. Maybe bankruptcy would be a wake up call...pretty sad though. Not that he liked to hang out with strippers...just that he was too lost in the fantasy.

wow. just read the article. talk about fucking stupid.

....and jonnyboy thought chuck and i were pathetic. lol. i can't believe he dropped 7 grand in 4 months($5 dances mind you . lol) in this SC. i know i haven't dropped probably even half that in SCs in 2.5 years. hmmmmmm, ok, maybe about half. but still, and this guy clearly wasn't getting the FBR treatment either.

seams like his friends got fed up with his alcoholism and SC addiction. im sure the sc addiction wasn't the issue they dropped him, but his ignorance in regards to it. actualy thinking that the more he spends the greater the chance a girl will want him, and he was probably just constantly whining to his friends about it and not listening to them(STOP GOING AND BLOWING ALL YOUR MONEY, STUPID).

his best bet would just be to off himself. if he's reading, take my advice; bathtub of water, razor blades, wrists.

    goodluck!

Cassidy, I agree with FBR in saying that it was nice of you to back off him when you learned that he couldn't really afford to do what he was doing, instead of having the attitude of laughing all the way to the bank. My faith in human beings hasn't totally been destroyed yet.

I have a friend who inherited something like $75,000 from his mom (maybe more) when she passed away and had spent 2/3 of it in 6 months on hookers and strippers. Again, social ineptness was at the root, and this guy also is deaf, so he was sure he'd never be able to interact normally with women.

Its sad, because he's a nice guy. He just doesn't have any faith in himself and it shows up all over his life.
