    Default $2.15/Gallon for Gas

I payed $2.15 a gallon for regular unleaded gasoline today here in Scottsdale, damn this is getting out of hand.

Not that this increase is going to break me, but it does lower my discretionary spending money, and I can only imagine the effect it will have on those who are more dependent on their vehicles for their jobs.

What is everyone else paying across the country?

I have to run premium. I filled up this morning and paid $2.13 per gallon. I should ditch the ESC for a Kia. Somehow though I cant see me driving a piece of shit like that.

    As of 9:00 this morning:

    $1.939 for regular
    $2.019 for midgrade
    $2.099 for premium

And since the subject has been brought up, why do they add that 9/10's of a penny?

I've noticed that the price will shoot up about ten cents/gallon, then trickle down a penny or two over the course of the week. When its ALMOST back to where it was, it shoots up ten cents again. Sunday is apparently the best day to buy, so I usually top of the tank then. Thankfully I only have an three mile commute to work.

This is certainly giving me pause for concern about the vacation this summer, but thankfully Oklahoma and Texas have some of the cheapest gas in the country, relatively speaking anyway.

Saturday morning I filled up my gas tank at $1.74 per gallon (regular)...first time ever I broke the $40 mark doing so.

$1.85, if I remember right from yesterday. I think the price got bumped a couple cents as I was pumping.

I payed $1.93 for 87 octane I put $10.00 in the tank and it will last me all week. I drive 2 miles round trip to work I'm glad I don't drive much more than that my truck only gets about 4 mpg in town.

I had to hunt for $2.15/gallon today, most stations were around $2.19. Being the pessimist and skeptic that I am, I'm guessing we'll see $3.00/gallon before the end of summer, then miraculously right around election time prices will drop (after Dubya calls in some favors from his Saudi buds).

Yeah, notice the top winner is $2.99 for California.... Ugh, it's like $2.30 a gallon here, but I wind up paying over $2.50 for premium as my car needs it.

I blow through about $55-$60 in gas on a weekend night out hitting the spots between the north and south territories. It sucks.

Don't plan any cross-country trips anytime soon.

Price of gas at a station in Santa Barbara, Calif. Tuesday morning May 11, 2004, was $3.11 for full service, 91 octane. It was later changed to $3.13. The Utility Consumers Action Network, a San Diego-based consumer group says California should declare a state of emergency to help fight rising gasoline prices. (AP Photo/Mike Eliason) :o

Every where in Northern OH it's $1.99, $2.09, $2.19 for the three different levels. Are the gas companies inflating the prices for summer, or what? Sheesh!!!

Thanks, Jay. I still pay less than in the U. S. but now I'm seeing 47.9 cents per liter signs. Wow, just to think it used to be between 29.9-35.9 not so long ago

It's funny, I never even look at the price of gas. I drive almost 70 miles a day to and from my day job, so I gotta buy it, no matter what.

I actually had to ask my husband just now how much it was today. $1.89 in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, up from $1.78 yesterday. Crazy.

Thanks, fishnet, for posting that site!

$2.25 for regular and on the way to $2.50 per gallon.
Remember to buy the argument from Wall Street that in
"real inflation adjusted dollars" $2.50 is still a small amount to pay.

(Unless of course you live in the real world and pay real world prices for things and services.)
