I'm a Twins fan, they should be able to win their division again, if I was a betting man though (actually I am a betting man) I'd pick the deep pocketed and much hated Yankee's to be the last team standing.

I'm a straight Dodger fan. I grew up out in Riverside County, SoCal.
They've blown chunks for quite a few years. The last great moment I remember was when Kirk Gibson played the role of Superman back in 1988 against the Oakland's Dennis Eckersley in game 1 of that World Series which they ended up winning.
They finally got Adrian Beltre to play to his potential and made some nice pickups this offseason. They're burning it up rigth now. (knocking on wood to avoid the jinx)

Let me add that living in AZ I've also developed a fondness for the Diamondbacks (I'll call them favorite 1B, with the Twins 1A), I usually see them play 5-10 times a year, my ideal World Series would match up the Twins and Diamondbacks.Originally Posted by Richard_Head link=board=1;threadid=1477;start=msg22958#msg22958 date=1084928104
How about Randy Johnson, he pitched a perfect game tonight in Atlanta, that guy is amazing.
I'm a huge Atlanta Braves fan...have been since I was wee lad. So, of course, every year that they come down to Houston to play the Astros, I'll be there. Hmm...three days in Houston!![]()

Speaking of Stros, with the new additions we should do much better than last year...although we choked so thats not saying much. Clemens and Pettitte will give BD's Cubbies a run for the money. Plus we have the all-star game this year...not a bad year to be in Houston.Originally Posted by aggieed link=board=1;threadid=1477;start=msg22967#msg22967 date=1084934047

Yeah baby! Another Braves fan here.Originally Posted by aggieed link=board=1;threadid=1477;start=msg22967#msg22967 date=1084934047
Although...I fear the glory days of the 1990's are behind them (seeing as they're running fourth in a weak NL East). I had to endure watching the highlights of Randy Johnson throwing that perfect game against them last night while at the strip club. Some nights the television just shouldn't be on in those places.
:'(
Of course, after three lap dances from the fav I didn't feel so bad.![]()
Former SCJ now in rehab.
LOL! So when did you say you were making your Texas Tour? Braves will be in Houston that first week in August.

How about them cubbies? Even with half the team on the DL were still winning games. You have to love that!

Being from Northern NJ, I am a Yankee fan. For all you Cub fans, you know that unless you play the Boston Red Flops you have no chance of winning anything! Red Flops and Cubs- Perfect together! LOL I have never seen 2 teams that always find a way to lose!

Randy Johnson is six-ten, so he probably got his nickname in the locker room. The NBA gets the hottest groupies for a reason.... I don't have a passion for teams, but I love watching baseball played well.... I grew up in Yankee country and now live in Red Sox country. I go to one club where the DJ wears a Red Sox hat every day, and the beer delivery guy wears a Yankee hat.

Hey money I think I remember last year the Cubs beat the Yankee's 2 out of 3 games. Who is the loser in that match up? Your OVER payed Yankee's.

Come on Daddy!! You know as well as I those games didn't mean a thing! If the games meant something, you know damn well the Cubs would have found a way to lose! Just like the Red Flops. Some teams just can't get over the hump.

Hey money I think it means that the Cubs beat the Yankee's two out of three. The Yankee's lost 2 to the Cubs. That's all it means. Yes it seams that the Cubs always come up short but they did not come up short when the faced the Yankee's! Oh and the Red Sox have beat the Yankee's 5 out of six this year. Maybe its the loosers year.

I don't know big_daddy, they should have been nicer to that goat.Originally Posted by big_daddy link=board=1;threadid=1477;start=msg23058#msg23058 date=1085107872

If you want to watch a decent Chicago team, better watch the south side.

Sandy, Sandy, Sandy and all the other stubborn "can't accept the fact that my team will never win" fans. The Yankees have proven time and again, that they can win the big game. They have won many World Championships. They have also lost as well. You cannot win them all. Last year, the Marlins totally outplayed the Yankees. The Yankees didn't do anything "dumb" to lose, like the Cubs and Red Flops do! Like a stupid ass fan interfering, or a ball going under someones legs, or some other dumb thing. You get my point! And you people up in New England have the Patriots!!! So let us have baseball! LOL
I'm a Cubs fans.

Great #8 we need all the help we can get lol. The cubs are not doing so hot now with out the dl guys.![]()

Go Cubs! I'm also a White Sox fan. I think they are the real underdogs this year. It really difficult to get tickets to Wrigley this summer. My sister has to go all the way to Millwaukee to take her boyfriend to see the Cubs next week.
I saw them when they were in San Diego. I think there were more Cubs fans than there were Padre fans.
