    Default Wearing that Wedding Ring

FBR's post to the Outside thread made me think of another question I had for the boys:

I went out with an out of town customer once (one of the few privates I've had) and he was wearing his wedding ring the entire time (dinner, nighclub, hotel)...

Now, I'm not one to ask those type of questions, so I just kept my mouth shut. But I am significantly younger than this guy, so it was pretty obvious I was NOT his wife. Plus, we met up with some of MY friends at a nighclub, which he knew about, and I had asked him NOT to tell anyone he was paying me $1,000 to take him out on the town. We were supposed to be "old friends".

So, tell me boys, if you are married, or if you were theoretically married....would you wear your ring to the club? Would you wear your ring during a private session with a provider?

There is no need to state if you are married or not, I don't care.

Let's just say....THEORETICALLY IF YOU WERE MARRIED....would you wear it or take it off???

    XOXOXO, Kurious Kat

well, speaking as someone who almost has as many wedding bands as Elizabeth Taylor and paid for almost as many as Richard Burton . no, i wouldn't wear my wedding ring. although, even without the ring. i've been asked that question before by strippers and most escorts assume you're married and often seem surprised to find out that you're not. in any case, i really don't like to wear jewelry of any kind. truthfully, that habit of mine really didn't go over well during any of my marriages. for some reason, i find jewelry constricting. i can barely tolerate my watch. so, even if i theoretically liked to wear jewelry like a wedding ring. would i take it off? no, some women are attracted to married men.

I do not where my ring ever due to health hazards related to my profession. However, if I did wear it, I would not see the need to take it off.

I knew a guy who got snagged by his wedding ring and lost his ring finger in an industrial accident. :o I never wear rings or jewelry.

Not to get off topic here, but Kat, I think we all wanna know what you did during this private session at the hotel! To stay on topic, I don't like to wear jewelry at all. So if you can, let me know if I should take out some cash and make a trip to Texas!! :

We went out for sushi, then met some of my friends at a local club to see a band. Then we went back to his hotel and had very unremarkable protected sex that was over in seconds.....I really liked him and we got along famously. The poor sex was surpising. I would have imagined that rich powerful well-hung men would have some stamina???

    WoooooHoooo, are you excited yet?

hahah. I also was going to inquire about Kat's FTB story. Oh well. They can't all be bestselling thrillers.

If I were married I would probably NOT wear my ring to the SC. I'm already not much of an accessory person. I wear a watch and an occasional earring. Otherwise, there's no Mr. T dwelling in this body.

LOL are you sure it wasn't me you were with? Aside from me not being rich and powerful the rest is me! Get the sex over with quickly and go to sleep! Oh wait, that is what you do with your wife.

I would never dream of taking off my wedding ring. If I couldn't live with the fact that I do this stuff while I'm married, I wouldn't do it. Cosmetic cover-ups don't change anything.

Also, I get the feeling that the girls I "date" would get creeped out if I started taking my ring off. It would be like I was trying to pretend our "relationship" (for lack of a better word) was something other than it is.

    Hmm, great question.

Regarding moneywise comment, I am not big on wearing jewelry either, with the exception of watches (I have a fetish for fine watches). And of course a tie clasp or cuff links when dressing up, but I guess I don't view a wedding ring as jewelry. If it was you could take it on/off as you pleased, or wear a different ring, and of course nobody does that with their wedding band.

So the reason to take it off at an SC is because the customers thinks they are likely to be treated a little better by the dancers. So to turn the question around, in general do dancers treat customers with wedding bands the same, better, or worse than customers without? I know that is a generalization, but what do you think Kat?

I am married and I do wear my ring to the club. I'm NOT looking for a girlfriend, just a way to relax and unwind from the stress of real life. I don't think dancers expect all customers to be single so what's the difference. Besides after not taking it off for 15 years, I have a permanent indentation on my ring finger and the skin coloring is a little different. It would be very obviuos that I was not wearing a ring. Besides, I have nothing to hide with a dancer. My two favs know about my family and a lot of other personal stuff. I found that being married and being honest about what I was looking for and not looking for has enabled the favs to be more open with me. They are also more relaxed knowing that I'm not going to try to get them in the sack.

Just my view, but Kat I would be interested in your reply to the question of whether dancers view customers differently depending on if they're married or not.

Perhaps this is why I haven't crossed that threshold yet. The wedding band is yet another piece of jewelry to me. I would wear it but not 24/7 religiously. Then again, I don't frequent church either so...

Ah okay, it never occurred to me that some people see their wedding bands as jewelry that they don't wear and now and then just because, but there you go, I stand corrected.

I assumed that almost any older, successful man was or is married. I treated bachelors and married customers alike. The glaring exception to this was those married men who removed their band for the club. A ring mark on a man without good cause for such ("I'm here to celebrate my divorce, finalized today") was almost always on the make and a huge pain in the ass.

I havent found that the ring on or off made one iota of difference. I dont think strippers really pay that much attention to it.

If I was married I would wear a ring inside a SC, but not if I was with a provider. Heck, I'd like to marry someone who enjoys sex so I wouldn't need to rely on a provider for sexual satisfaction.

As I'm currently single, theoretically- the ring would definately be worn.. but more importantly, the one from which it represents would be by my side.

This is the way it is now and always has been... when I've been involved, trips for evening fun and play are with my SO at my side and by her directed desire to participate and preferred location choice. If I'm alone it's because she's too tired, has other plans and sends me out with her best wishes.

There is absolutely no way I could possibly be in a relationship where I felt the need to go outside it for any form of "kicks" that didn't directly involve or have the blessings of the one I'm with. It's always been that way.. always will be.

I wear my wedding ring to clubs because I'm not there to find a date. I do not wear it to work because my company says it's hazzards and yes rings can get your finger pulled right off your hand. I do not hire strippers or escorts for sex but if I did my wife wants to watch I love my wife and she loves me we get along great and are best friends. She is just a little on the freak side . It's good to be .

Like RCJ, I didn't wear the ring when I was married due to job hazards. I didn't go to clubs then either... just your basic boy scout.

It's pointless for anyone married to take off the ring. The mark takes months to go away.

That "mark" is probably a source of comedy for strippers.

    Darren,
In clubm I treat every customer the same as long as he is respectful and paying. I don't even look for the wedding ring.

I was a bit suprised to see it on during a very public date. This really has nothing to do with screwing customers per say either. I was paid to take him out around the town. I could have said goodnight, but I thought it would be good sex, wrong...
