dancers have no way of knowing if the guy they are dancing for has a woman at home or not, so it's easier to just not think about it, flirt with the customer, and make some money. it"s easier emotionally to just assume that the customer is smart enough to only spend what he can afford to spend.

Seriously, seeing myself as the Paid for other woman is a way to keep the sanity. it helps remind one why they are at work. Just like when you go to your cubicle in the office building you are the "paid for other employee" because you know the interns are working for free... your getting paid.

What is more important to strippers/escorts, their income, or would they really rather have all customers stop lying about it (even if that means their income would take a major dive).
THE INCOME! would I feel bad about it if some guy was lying to his SO to come to a strip club? Yes, a little. But not enough to say "WAIT!!! Your wearing a wedding ring! Does your SO know about this? No? Sorry ! I can"t dance!" I'd be crazy. If I'm a waitress in a resturant, I'd still smile at attached guys to get a bigger tip. If I was a masseause, I'd still massage guys who had SO's. If I dance, well, it's part of the job description. Would I DATE a guy who I know has a SO? No friggin way. But doing my job is doing my job.

I'm happily married and I go to strip clubs fairly often. I go because it's fun, I can smoke a cigar and drink a few tequilas oh yeah and there are cute naked chicks. I don't look for extras and in fact a topless funny smart chickie all night in exchange for some dollars is a harmless good time.

I'm old enough to know that we aren't going to hook up and young enough to fit in and enjoy the party.

Girls have become very forward over the years and I've been propositioned more at Starbucks than any strip club. If I'm looking for an affair (something I've never done) I can find it over a double mocha at 9 AM. I could go to Vegas and hire 5 chicks to my room or I could go to just about any dance club and have a reasonable shot at sex.

I go to strip clubs because none of the above is going to happen.

It's just a show. Sometimes a damn good show, but it's just a show.

Well I stoped reading the posts when the arguing started, but I still want to answer the original question.

I would and do take the money regardless of wether the man has/is lying to his SO.

As a matter of fact I quit wearing perfume (just light body spray now),glitter, and dark lip stick to accomodate those men who are supposed to be out golfing, at a sports bar, or where ever else it is they have told their SO they are going.

I am completely aware that many men (not all) have an SO that has no idea where he spends his time, I just don't care.

To me it is a job like any other and quite frankly I cannot think of any other profession where the employee worries about the time or money spent on their products/services so why should I?

A short side note: I have encountered twice women who came to my club looking for their husband who had been lying about where they were. I admitted to both that I had danced for their husbands but that they would have to discuss frequency/details with the husband.
