Sigh... RIP, Superman. May you go to a land filled with a million naked horny Lois Lanes.

OMGs. This is very sad news. He did a couple of guest star spots on "Smallville", and he was excellent. I really thought he was in great shape and well on the road to recovery.
Rest In Peace, Superman.![]()

Yeah, this is a total surprise to me. There was all that talk about him being able to move his fingers again, I thought he was doing great.

You're always going to be Superman in my heart.R.I.P.

I'll miss him coz I thought the guy was one of the few genuinely good spirits on this earth.... he was making a difference... he will be missed. Tho' life will go on... no one can really truely take his spot. He has left his mark.
I guess Tom Welling (Smallville's Clark Kent) is going to have to now don the stockings and undies (remember.. stockings first.. undies on the outside!).

YOUR FAVORITE SUPERMAN SCENE
I LOVE the part where he goes back to the bar and kicks the shit out of that trucker after he gets his powers back. Then says...mildly and shyly - "I've been working out."

RIP Superman
I'm of the opinion that we spend too much emotional energy on the lives of celebrities.
But in this case, Mr. Reeve deserves it. He was a quality man who kept his spirits up through terrible personal tragedy. Just in staying alive, he beat all the medical forecasts, and then went on to actually improve. He was a fine example to us all and heroic in his efforts and energy to develop cures and strategies for others suffering in the same way he did.
The world has lost a very good person. Peace to him.

I can't belive it happened, its just so sad to hear.
What JZ said.
Reeves was as hardcore as they come.

I don't know what to say. I really don't...
This is so sad. My heart goes out to his family.

OMG I had no idea!!
My friend just saw him speak at her college's graduation ceremony. She was totally blown away by him.
You will be missed, Superman!
Because there ain't no tits on the radio
My best wishes go out to his family at this most tragic time. I think about him everytime I get on a horse. I really hope that they are able to continue with the stem cell research.
RUSTY
I read about it this morning. That is sad.I admired him because of how bravely he handled his previous injury. I also thought he was great as Superman.
Some quotes from Christopher...
On Life After the Accident:
"I have less time for superficial talk... I am eager to tell the truth, and hear it from others, more than ever before."
On His Heroes:
"I believe that the real heroes today are ordinary people who persevere and endure against overwhelming obstacles."
On Acting After His Injury:
"I was worried that only acting with my voice and my face, I might not be able to communicate effectively enough... I was surprised to find that if I really concentrated, and just let the thoughts happen, that they would read on my face."
On Living With a Disability:
"I refuse to allow a disability to determine how I live my life."
On Whether He'd Mind Being Remembered as 'Superman':
"Not at all, as long as they also recognize some of the other work I've done."
