    Default ladies help me

I have been dancing for quite some time now and still have yet to master the whole "dancer look" thing. I just blowdry my hair and sloppily apply some make up at work.

I'm pretty much hair and makeup handicapped. I have a great body and a decent face, if I just mastered my look I think my earning would increase.

Does anyone have any links for "stripper makeup maps" or "how to do stripper hair"? I have big blue eyes, and oval face, and shoulder length brown hair if that helps.

    thanks so much!

ps...does anyone dance out here in detroit?

You can do a search on this website, and you could also do a google search for makeup tips, or glam makeup tips.

I remember asking the same question 2 years ago when I first started....and now I do my makeup awesome. It takes time and practice. Even if you are told exactly how to do the makeup, you will still need practice as its hard to get mastered.

Good luck and pm me if you need any help

I know that the books of the late Kevin Aucoin are respected here on SW. He did makeup for celebs and models. He had neat little tricks like using a plastic spoon to make mascared-eyelashes stick out further, instructions on proper eyebrow shaping, etc. Check Amazon.com or your local bookseller.

You could look at pictures of porn stars or Carmen Electra etc and try to copy their eye makeup and lips. (There were some porn star pictures on this site but since the move those pictures aren't working. The picture post thread sexiest, hottest person seems to be working though.)

For make-up, you could also hit a few department store make-up counters for tips and how-to's.

I've always just experimented and practiced. Maybe go buy some colors that look good on you and practice, practice, practice. Also, Sephora has some great make-up styles.

I've been wanting to get the Alexis Vogel kit. It comes with a video that instructs you on how to apply their makeup. I've seen this on infomercials & I definately want to get it.

Pay a hair stylish and make-up artist to do it

It only cost me $30 for a full face (foundation, eyes, lips, everything) plus blow-dry and straightening of my long thick hair. The reason I pay is I'm also very much hair and make-up handicapped ... and one 5 minute lap dance covers the cost of my hair and make-up. So if it makes me just that little bit more due to being done better (or "right")... then it was totally worth it.

Plus it is the little bit of pampering that I allow myself.
