    Best Season in Japan

    Hi Everyone!

I have read all of the posts I could find about dancing in Japan. I have applied to The Best Dancers over the website; a friend of mine recommended this agency and so have many people on this site. I am aware of the dangers of traveling abroad but have decided to take that risk. I have already traveled alone through Europe, Africa and Australia so I am comfortable with my travel skills.

Anyway, I would appreciate any advice about how to make the most of the experience (please do not try to talk me out of going) but what I would really like is to hear from girls who have been there. When is the best season to go?

    Thanks so much!

I personally would love to go if I can do it for one month here and there as due to other committments I wouldn't be able to stay any longer. I would say in a share accommodation place (similiar to a backpacker here in Australia where you share a laundry and bathroom - I'm totally kewl w/that style of accommodation), eat out ($15 AUD per day is cheap! No need for a kitchen then) and take the subway ...... this way I would save HEAPS.

I'm also awaiting mermaidnz's finished time in Japan so I too can determine when it is best for me to go over. I've come to the conclusion (based on her experiences mainly and then many other peoples' experiences here and off the 'net) that I would do better over there than I am currently doing here on the Coast.

    Hi there!

Thanks for the advice mermaidnz! I am planning on going in January for a month or so to try it out.

GoldCoastGirl - if you are interested in going together, I am totally open to that...

I haven't heard back from the agency yet, does anyone know how long it usually takes?

    Thanks again!

Hi i was wondering, do you have to have alot of experience to work in japan? are they very .. picky at choosing you or not...

i would love to go there also, but since i'm asian maybe they wouldn't want anymore asian looking girls there..

and do you have to pay for your own air fare?

    thanks on any info

    HEYYYYYYYYYY bambi!
im going over on DECEMBER FIRST (with wold agency), im from australia.
i heard this is a good time to go because theres less girls there this time of year (they want to be home for christmas) so its easier to get into the clubs and also less competition. although its the middle of winter so its COLD and SNOWING!
but im just hgoing because its a week after my birthday & ive been waiting all year??
do you want to come with?? id love to know someone, im quite nervous!!
id love if youd email me sweetie ... [email protected]

August is probably the worst possible month. Gruesomely hot for another thing. Kids out of school plus a bunch of holidays/festivals (called O-bon) that are associated with family and travel and local neighborhoods mean that relatively few guys are out partying on their own, for another. The whole June through September period is not the best, I'd guess.

yes, i like world agency so fare (sounds like they havent been great to mermaidnz though!)
but thebestdancers (janet & co) just book though world agency anyway. so its just more direct? the same either way i guess?
like if you booked with janet then im sure you contact i japan & your accomodation would be from world agency.

they gave me the option so far of working at all the clubs there. I have a download that specifies what each club is and what they do?

is private eyes the most upscale? anyone else going to be there in dec?

oh.. and janet said that when you get there, they kind of "bid on you" and fight over you? The club owners that is?(from the 3 clubs)

merm, is that true? what was that like?

lol fuck no!!! bid?? are you serious!? never heard of this, of seen it.

lips is the shit one, seventh is ok, and private is the best one ( i thinnk, after seeing it) but they certainly dont bid over anyone! lol

you audition at seventh first, if they like you your hired, if they think you crap for whatever reason, your sent to lips, and if they think your too good, of theres too many girls that look similar already at seventh, your go to private for audition, then if the same thing happens at privet, you get sent to lips anyways.

    bs really
