Ewww, Tiff! That image is gonna haunt me!

Man, just *thinking* about that is a diet incentive, nevermind actually getting the piercing done.

You must be a hell of a friend to have sat and eaten with her, though! Or did you wear a ? lol
    Pour some sugar on me!

    I've peirced my tongue twice.Here:
First time It swelled up a lot. Had milkshake for diner that night. The next day I had soft food (protein shakes, smothies, overcooked pasta, soup, yogurt). By day three I was eating. I don't smoke so can't answer that and I waited one week to kiss and 2 to play.

Second time was similar to Blade's experience. I did it eaerly morning and ate a turkey sandwich that night. By day two it was fine.

BTW, there was a 6 month break from when I took out the first one and put in the second.

    Ok a few things...
1> Dont Baby it... Talk as much as you can...evn if it hurts...You dont want to
    let that muscle get lazy.
2> Oral Sex is a no no for at least 3 weeks...
3> I would avoid Spicy and sour things ...they can irriatate piercings.
4> Bioteen(sp) Is a WONDERFUL product for cleaning.
5> If you smoke...stop or at least cut back
6> Ice and tylenol will be your friend if your in pain..plus it will help with any
    swelling.

Thats all i can currently think of. Your piercer should tell you the same thing i just did.

If your wondering why i know this...I have been reading and watching piercers do their work for 3 years. Enjoy your tongue ring!

I used Kroger brand mouthwash to clean it.

used it after everything I ate.

took about a week for it to heal. 2 more weeks before I did the oral sex thing.

overall, it wasnt too bad. pain was minimal.

My PA hurt way more than the tongue.

I had my tounge peirced for my early B-Day present. Mine took about 3 days to be able to eat normal food. I now love it and have no problems with it.

i had my piercing for 2 years. my piercer told me to get some gly oxide and use salt water washes. i ate right after i got my piercing just take your time when your chewing you will get used to it. Try not to eat Alot of dairy products or yogurt. u get this yucky film over your tongue and you have to brush your tongue every day (course u have to brush it everyday). My piercing healed about a week. Ice will be your friend. After you drink beer beverage brush your teeth and the piercing use listerine.

But i would seriously look for a professional piercer and certified.

Hun, I've had my tongue pierced for about a year, it was about a week till i could talk normally and about 3 weeks till i could get back to the mad makeout sessions and beyond that lol it doesn't hurt at all getting the needle put through you're tongue, and i'm a wimp lol, but you'll have constant ANNOYING pain for about a week or two just make sure you rinse with a mix of half water, half listerine everytime something other than water is put in you mouth (and yes this includes smoke, incase you didn't know that already) till you're tongue stops producing puss (eww) I have yet to chip a tooth or anything like that and so far I F%^&ING LOVE IT!!!! I'ts my favorite piercing hope this helps!
