I got to see me this!
Eeeeeeeeeeeeek! Samara's back! I STILL catch myself looking behind me at the TV when it's turned off. Even though it scared the stuff right out of me, I'm damn sure going to see this one.. LOL
Thanks for letting me know, Mad.. I had no idea they were making a sequel! eek!

OMG, My boyfriend and I saw the original ring when it first came out. People were actually _leaving_ the threatre because they were getting so freaked out. I havn't seen that with any other movie. I am looking forward to this one.
LOL Chani.. I hear that. It didn't really spook me until close to the end of the movie when Noah "met" Samara. Something about watching her lurk towards him after crawling out of the TV.. Eeek!

Looks freakin awesome!
Whoa. So I'm watching the preview and bf is like "I suppose I should see the first one then." O.o how didn't one see it? I liked it a lot, not as terrifying as my ex thought, but then again he hyped it all up.
"I still have my name
I still have my face
I have not run away from home
Doesn't seem so long
If I now embrace
Every single thing I've never known"
that movie is really the only one that scared the hell out of me. my tv got covered with a tablecloth for a week when not on. can't wait for this new one. insomnia time! thanks for posting this madcap...
Uhhhh...I think I'll pass. I just cannot watch those freaky scary movies. I prefer to sleep and have good dreams. LOL
Yikes...I saw that original Exorcist...edited for TV version and didn't sleep a wink for over a week...and then I always had a bible with me. Fuck that...won't voluntarily do that to myself again.
But, you guys enjoy! LOL
Scary movies are my favorite! I can't believe I never saw the first one...![]()
I will make sure to see both!![]()
I saw the original Japanese one (called "Ringu") and, not to sound like a total film snob, it WAS better, IMO.
The part when the little girl comes out of the TV was even creepier in the original. The remake of that part was a bit too "digitized". I thought it was a great remake though, and I'll be going to see the sequel, with my SO of course!
"She has written so well, and marvellously well, that I was completely ashamed of myself as a writer...But this girl, who is to my knowledge very unpleasant and we might even say a high-grade bitch, can write rings around all of us who consider ourselves as writers"
Ernest Hemingway on writer, aviation pioneer and horse trainer Beryl Markham

This one is also a remake of another japanese movie.
I may have many faults, but being wrong ain't one of them.

YES!!!!....i love scary movies...
Shit i got scared watching that trailer alone in my room.
Cant wait to go see this one....
Who wants to go see it with me? SW feild trip?![]()
Woot Nina! I loved "Ringu" too and I felt the same way. I'm convinced that any remake (of any movie) pales in comparison to the originals, but they do put in some pretty good effort. Samara is just a very very creepy little girl.. Eeek!Originally Posted by NinaDaisy
I personally like "Scary Movie 3"s version of Samara.. LOL At least that one doesn't scare me.
Nina, have you seen all three Japanese Ringu's? (is that right? ha) SO GOOD.
I heard that new Sarah Michelle Gellar movie is a remake of the japanese versions too...any truth to this. All I know is that kid meowing like a cat freaks my kitty out!!
LOL MissT! My hubby has my daughter do a trick after seeing that preview. He told me to lay down on the bed and look out of the corner of my eye. He raised my daughter up from the floor and made a "Meowwwwwwww" sound.. lmfao.. He's a freak, I swear it.Originally Posted by MissTaylor
I want to see that one though! It looks awesome. There's also another new one, I saw the preview the other night, but I can't remember the name. It looks scary!
That's definitely my favorite genre.. Horror!

I saw the last of the Ringu series... Then I saw part of the TV show they had over in Japan based on Ringu. I wonder if The Ring 2 will follow the same story line as the Ringu series, but since the first one was a little different I doubt it. Yeah that one with Sarah Michelle Gellar "The Grudge" is a remake of the Japanese movie Ju-on.
I may have many faults, but being wrong ain't one of them.
