You should just renew your subscription to Norton's - I think its $10US. Its still the king of antivirus. You don't have to buy new software, just pay for the updated virus descriptions, the engine stays the same.

I don't like Norton, either. I use Zone Alarm, zonealarm.com

Norton is now $20 renewal. I like the new NAV 2005, but their s/w upgrade price is the same as their rebated new price. Their subscription cost increase is "due to the increased virus, trojan, worm development activity." That may well be true; it is HUGE.

Zone Alarm is NOT antivirus software, it is a firewall to prevent hackers taking over your computer.

Some people like McAfee, or PC-Cillin, or the one that Trend Micro gives away.

Think of anti-virus s/w and firewalls as condoms for your computer.
I loved going to strip clubs; I actually made some friends there. Now things are different for the clubs and for me. As a result I am not as happy.

Customers are not entitled to grope, disrespect, or rob strippers. This is their job, not their hobby, and they all need income. Clubs are not just some erotic show for guys to view while drinking.

NOTE: anything I post here, outside of a direct quote, is my opinion only, which I am entitled to. Take it for what you estimate it is worth.

Casper sky and panda are way better than mcafee and norton. (ps) you can get any of the four with automatic updates till the year 2040 from winmx for free.

Its only fair because the people sending virus to computers are the anti virus software makers in the first place.

I just wanted to rave about a new anti virus program. I had avast which didnt remove the one virus that wouldnt leave my computer no matter how many times it scanned and I cleaned manually. Its a dumb name called SUPERAntiSpyware. Its free and cleaned out my virus and many other it found in my computer.

    Both are free.

    Norton and Mcafee eat it.

As mentioned, Avast and AVG both kick ass and are free. In addition use the following (they're all online scanners and free):

    Ewido

    Panda Active Scan

    TrendMicro's Housecall

Also look into downloading the following free softwares:
    Ad-Aware
    Spybot
    RegCure
