Default I want to live in US and dance..please help

I am an australian pssport holder so I can go to the states on a 90 day visa. I have a boyfriend who is living in Cali. But really, Id like like to go to Cali, somehow get an apartment. a job and work for the 90 months. without a working visa..is it possible to do this? and how can I arrange all of this? My boyfriend is just getting out of the military and will be staying at his parents until he gets on his feet again, but I am 24 years, I want to stay at my own place. SHould I stay in a hotel? i have been to cali 1 time before, ive worked a few places around the world but have always had success with american customers..Honestly, i dont have a clue what to do or if this i spossible. I know a few people there but want to be independent with my own place and privacy too..please help thanks.

Ummm...don't think you can work here without a work visa. Also...don't know the specifics of renting an apartment for 3 months. Maybe if you went with a landlord who would allow you to pay month-by-month. But, you're biggest hurddle is going to be getting a work visa...good luck.

"Legally," no... but that doesn't stop millions of illegal workers in general, or thousands of illegal hispanic dancers in Texas in particular. Don't know what the situation is in Cali but, given its proximity to border and number of illegal workers in pretty much every other industry, I suspect it's much like Texas - at least down around LA and San Diego.

Hello Frangiapani ~ glad to hear that you want to come to Cali...it's a beautiful place. Let me fill you in on what you will need to work in San Diego and LA county. To work as an exotic dancer you need to have your entertainer's license, that costs about $300 that was about four years ago, I don't know if the price has increased or decreased since. I don't know of a club that will let you work without having one specially since there was a small sting that had to do with some city counsilmen at Cheetahs on Clairemont Rd. Now to get the license you have to have a social security number. I know that you can get a social security number for employment purposes only what I don't know is how to go about getting. Once you get here, try to see about meeting with an INS attorney and if they can get you an employment visa, they should be able to tell you if that is possible at this time or if you need to wait. GOOD LUCK! feel free to PM me if you have any other questions that I can possibly help you with.
