    Default Pet Habits and Personalities

I just stepped outside for a cigarette (I really need to quit these damn things) and noted that my bald head was getting wet...which typically means it is raining. My cat has a tendency to whore around at night (yes she's fixed) but when it rains she tends to come in...figuring she was around I made my usual kissing sound which instantly resulted in the jingling of her bell as she came running and yelling at me...which I have surmised either means "I LOVE YOU" or "FEED ME ASSHOLE!" I find it quite endearing to have these types of interactions with this cat.

What sorts of rituals do you have with your pets?

1 Call him back home so he doesn't eat the neighbor's cockfighting roosters (yah- I know, bad dog)
2 Let him jam his butt in front of me when he wants attention
3 Take him running down by the river, let him pee on everything, chase bunnies
    4 Listen to him belch/cough/fart
5 Now I miss my dog.....he's a Rott-Shep mix/...the best advertisement alive for adopting a pound puppy mutt....

My cats like to lay on my pillow at night. They never lay on Scorpio's pillows, just mine. It's so annoying, but they're so warm, too...

One cat is perpetually loving. She loves to roll all over people and lick them. She likes to cuddle up to me at night, do the "nursing pet" and nibble on my ear with her wet nose rubbing my face and purring as loud as she can. I know she loves me, but she only does this when I'm trying to sleep.

When we get up in the morning, she meows repetitively for however long she needs to until she gets fed. She doesn't say thank you and she doesn't say please, just "Feed me, feed me, feed me...NOOOOOW!"

We love our cats so much.

I don't have my dear cat Pollen anymore, he passed away, but he used to have tons of habits...I lived in nola so I used to let him outside all the time. When I'd walk to the store he'd always follow me the three straight blocks, when I'd turn the corner to go the other two blocks he'd sit under a car and wait for me to come back around the corner. When he saw my feet he'd meow, come out and follow me back home. In the mornings when my bf would leave for work, he'd get in the bed (right in my bf's spot), put his head on the pillow, purr and look at me like "you're not gonna pet me?". Oh I miss him so much...

And I had a baby duck (he died to), whenever I was sitting down on the floor he'd hop inside my shirt and go to sleep.

My Dog likes to jump out of second story windows on to the street superman style.

I like to think that means she is either suicidal or just stupid.

My cat, which we had to put to sleep , had some quirky behavior

    2 of her quirkiest personalities:

    1) She would never whine when hungry, but would stand by our feet and constantly meow after being fed until we said "your welcome", then she would be quite and walk away

    2) When we took her to the vet, she would purr as she was given shots ... The vet said that he had never seen a cat that enjoyed receiving shots before.

My female cat ( The Empress Squeeky the 1st) is obviously from her name spoiled and treated as an empress. I also have a male named Max (maxamillion as my fiance calls him) My fiance refres to Max as his little Ninja Kitty. Their very well behaved. I was put on strict bed rest one day, and when J went out to the store to pick up a treat for me little to my knowledge he told the cats not to let me out of bed, well i went to get out of bed, and they kept slapping me, and tripping me not letting me as i tried to get out of the bedroom. Then his female jumped up on my chest and just growled (which she never does) until J got home, and he told me what he had told them. Since i'm also home alone during the day I walk around talking to the cats, and they follow responding with their little "Meow" as if they actually understand me, which J says they do

my pom does this thing where her hind legs go straight out behind her and she barks up a storm while pushing herself around with her front legs. We say she's doing "pretty" She expects lots of attention while doing that.

    LMAO -

My cat is a nut bag! Every time I walk by her, even if she is half asleep, she will attack my legs. She bats at them several times as if to say, "Hey lady, where are you going"? When I go into the kitchen, she stands on her back legs and puts her front paws on the counter and meow's out of control. (Mind you, I fed her 5 minutes before) I love her very much, I have to say, she is the most loving cat I have ever had. I never had a cat before that liked to be held like a baby and have her tummy rubbed. She just lays there, legs spread open, head tilted back and purrs away as I rub her tummy. She also cleans my hands all the time with her little sand paper tongue. I leave the t.v. on for her at night when I go to work, sometimes I turn on the bathroom sink faucet for her to have a quick fresh drink, she is spoiled! She has a pink collar with a little pink bell with all her little i.d. tags and if you take it off, she wigs out. She will nudge up against you until you put her jewelry back on...

One of my cats, Onyx, likes to chase his tail. Like a dog, but on the top tier of his kitty condo. I'm always afraid he's gonna tip the thing over!
The other one, Midnight, likes to drink water from his paws. He'll scoop up water from the dish and lick it from his feet. He also likes to find things to cover up his food with. He'll drag towels and stuff over his food dish when he's done. That cat has strange eating habits.

Katya the cat MUST be in the same room as me, even if I'm in the bathroom taking a crap I have to let her in. When I get out of the shower, she jumps up on the toilet seat and begins licking clean my wet toes. I sure its just to get some water in her but she acts like its very important to clean me thoroughly..

She likes me to watch her eat too. If she is in the living room meowing, I have to drop what I am doing and follow her to her bowl so she can show me her cat mastication skills.

Also, she won't sit on a bare legged lap. You have to be covered in clothing or a blanket. This is probably good because she scratches the hell out of me with her "pushy paws"

A lady friend's dog was a sneaky, thieving bastard... and it was hilarious how well he adapted to being a thief!

Any wrapped food in the kitchen, on the coffee table or in the open, he'd find the proper time to quietly and sneakily thieve and eat. He was smart enough to get the wrapper off and the condemning evidence was always finding a wrapper somewhere.

Well, he adapted his art more skillfully and actually started hiding the evidence. He'd sneak a candy bar, then find someplace to hide the wrapper to dispose of the evidence. More than once, this was in or near the trash can to make it look like a human had eaten it. He learned that if we found the wrapper out in the open or laying on the carpet somewhere, he'd be busted.

It was just hilarious to wake up in the morning, find the stack of candy bars in the kitchen curiously absent one or two of a stack of five, and see the wrappers licked clean pushed in the trash.

My cat's personality is very very sweet but a little random and sometimes hyper.
My cat is a big tease- she'll run up to the chair I'm sitting in, stick her head or paw up near me then as soon as I pet her or say her name she'll run away as fast as she can to her food. ??? She thinks being petted while eating is the ultimate or else she thinks it'll make me proud she can eat.
Another habit she has is drinking out of the bathroom facet.
Lately she'll sleep on my pillow by my head at night which I think is very sweet.

I forgot another thing she'll do is let out crying meows when I'm in another room for me to come play with her- she's standing by the string and I'm about 90% sure she knows I'm the one moving it that it's not really alive.
