Default How do I promate myself and my club?

    Hello Ladies,

I was just wondering how do I go about promoting myself so I can get more guys to come into my club and spend money on me.

My club gave me cards to hand out but I dont know where to start or what I should say to the guys that I go up to?

My dream and goal is to be the number one top paying dancers at my club. My club is a very small like club so it doesn't get to much business they do advise in the papers and etc.. but for me as a dancer how can I get my name in the streets and get men to come in to see me?

    Any suggestions would be awesome!

How about going to a sporting event? Those are very good for promoting.

Also upscale restaurants, hotels and bars near the club are good, but make sure that the management is okay with it.

LOL - Yeah, the cards are ok to hand out. Any time a guy asks me for my number and I think he may be a good potential customer, I hand him a card... Most of them at some point end up showing up. You could try creating a web site if you are comfortable with doing so.

One suggestion that will work well for you. Every time you hear from a guy that he comes in the club now and then, it is a perfect oportunity to start establishing him as one your regulars. The cards will definitely assist in that. When he buys a dance from you, just say, "Thanks so much, and remember that the next time I see you, it will just get better and better because we already know one another. Since I'd be a lot more comfortable with you the next time, I know we'll have a better and better time each time we see each other. Here's my card, so be sure to ask for me when you come in next time and I will take perfect care of you." Just make sure your stage name is on it and you're in!

This is my question as well. The cards promote the club mainly (not me). Where should I start... how do you recommend that I approach them... and especially... what do you recommend I wear ?

To promote myself via the cards, I guess I could create some small stickers with my name on them and stick them on the cards.

I work in a small gentlemen's club that doesnt advertise at all, everything is word of mouth which in turn gives us better customers, I think. However, we do have passes that we give out.
Generally, I go to businesses that do not involve people that would be otherwise offended ie... children, religious.
Car shows, hotels (bartenders & valets), anywhere that I think will attract the right kind of clientle. I stay out of malls, college campuses (yes I have seen girls from other clubs there passing out passes) and bars.
Oh and when you are promoting your club always dress like you are going on a job interview, just with a little more sexy to it.

Call the local radio station while you're driving home and start a conversation with the DJ. A lot of times they think it's great that they're talking to a stripper and they'll put you on the air or put peices of your conversation on the air. If you do go on the air, make sure you say your stage name and club name.

I dunno about the cards. Why not make your own cards with your stage name and schedule and stripper email address? I used to give free passes like to the guys who fixed my car and stuff like that, but that was when I was more open about dancing.

This may sound off-base but it totally worked for me for a while...

I made up my mind to work every single day for as long as I possibly could, that way I got the chance to meet pretty much all of the "regular" and "semi-regular" guys that came to the club. I made it a point to talk to every last one of them and be really nice and friendly, and get them to expect me to be at the club whenever they wanted to see me. Around the time when I started getting tired, I made up a schedule that I knew I could stick to for at least a few months, so I could get guys to come for me on those select days, and it totally worked! For a good 3 months I was literally the top earner in the club because I had a lot of guys coming for me, sometimes by "appointment". But then I got really tired and stopped coming consistently so I lost my customer base because I didn't tell them I was switching up. (bad move) Just a suggestion.

I'm in the process of getting a website up and going. I just have to get in slightly better shape so I can get my photography done. There are strip club websites where you can advertise your club and post reviews on it. Mention to your boss putting a photo ad in a local paper.

Just make sure your city doesn't have any laws where they can interpret your handing out the business cards as soliciting.

I signed up for a FREE Yahoo group and use a Yahoo e-mail address.

The Yahoo group offers a calendar, messaging option, polls, etc.

In addition, the e-mail is a safe way to stay in touch with customers, as now most people can trace your information pretty easily.

My e-mail address is just [email protected] and I use the same "LunaATX" nickname when on any stripping-related forums. It makes it easy to track me down and remember my name at the club (Luna) and what city I work in (Austin, Texas - also known as "the ATX").

I send out 1-2 messages a week when I work, and in them I let people know what hours I will be there, any drink/dance/food specials, and anything special going on that night (eg: 70's night, free buffet, my birthday, etc.). I also remind them of the clubs address, website, telephone number, and general directions - and attach the clubs website as a link.

Through these I also offer specials. For example, everyone who came in wearing an "I voted" sticker got 1 free dance the entire early voting - Nov. 2nd each day they came in The only people that knew about this were the people in my group, or their friends, and it got me more PAID dances.

I don't do the free dances often, but I *do* offer those who have never met me in person the option of saying "Nope, that dance sucked", and I won't charge, or the option of meeting me at work before I start my shift for a drink. This way, it's no-pressure for them as I am in my regular clothing, and they have the opportunity to see me and decide to leave while I get changed (if I'm not their type, or for whatever reason).

Last, but not least, I *did* have my own "business" cards - e-mail address, address of my Yahoo group, dance name, and the club I work at. Whenever I had a schedule I also posted that. Some girls may feel comfortable attaching a cell phone number or pager number, but I ONLY recommend that if those #'s are ONLY for work, and you do not have any of your real information attached to them (P.O. box and not your home address, dance name and not real name, etc..).

Ladies - if you need help designing business cards, please let me know, and when I have time I'll help you. Then all you'll need to do is take (or send) the file to a Kinko's or CopyMax to have them printed (usually about $50 for 100-200 cards, and totally worth it).

Oh yeah - many clubs do calendars, websites, entertainer of the month, etc. - see about getting in to those.

Also, some clubs will show photos or video of you on the TV's while you are on stage or in between sporting events. Just put something onto a CD or DVD (such as pictures in a slide-show format), and then talk to whomever controls the TV's!

For those of you who do other things outside the club, such as a porn site, videos, acting, rollerderby, whatever, you can have the DJ announce that while you're on stage.

If you don't do things outside the club, but would like to, that can also help bring in customers. I know quite a few girls in the Austin, TX area who've modeled for Vertical Smiles and Amateur Teen Kingdom who are also dancers. As a matter of fact, one dancer is now become a pretty big porn-star (do a search for Lily-Thai). She's a sweetie!

Just remember - things like that can have consequences forever in your life. Your current family, future family, future relationships, job opportunities, and how the world remembers you. Keep that in mind!

If you aren't as risque - focus on your acting, any movies you've been in, bands you play/perform in, fire dancing, rollerderby, skydiving, etc - we have all those kinds of things in Austin, and many girls gain customers through both dancing and their outside the club stuff.

I find that guys who seem to like me and who have bought dances will initiate exchanging phone numbers.

I work weekly bookings in several clubs and in most of them I have several guys whom I have sold and exchanged numbers with keeping in touch with me and just a 5 minute conversation with them randomly works wonders.

They know when I am back at the club in their town because we communicate and that week unless something comes up they come and see me.

You can't really sell customers into coming to see you. The guys who like you and seem ok to deal with will bring up exchanging numbers and as long as you are friendly and nice to them (for as long as they last) that is the best way to market yourself.

Just keep the guys who like you and who spend money around and keep in touch with them.

It is the clubs job to promote themselves.
