Default Working in SanFrancisco - liscence and id question

    Hi everyone,

If anyone dances in SF, would you give me an idea of what its like getting a job there?

Do you have to audition at most clubs?
Is there an entertainers liscence required like in vegas?
Will they ask me for my social security card?
Do they pay for shifts or do dancers pay to work?
I'm pretty good looking if I do say so myself - but how competitive is it?
Can you 'freelance' and not go on stage, just do lap dances?
I especially would like to know about Mitchell Brothers and Crazy Horse - how clean and what extras people do if any.
Also, tips on clubs with good earning potential...
Finally, nightly averages if you don't mind sharing.

    Thanks!

I, personally, lasted only an hour in San Francisco because LOTS of the girls do extras and its hard to get $20 for a LD when someone else will give a BJ for the same $$$

Do you have to audition at most clubs? YES

Is there an entertainers liscence required like in vegas? NO

Will they ask me for my social security card? YES

Do they pay for shifts or do dancers pay to work? haha.. Ive yet to find a club in CA that pays me. SF charges a good amount to work.

I'm pretty good looking if I do say so myself - but how competitive is it? Depends on where you go and what you do.

Can you 'freelance' and not go on stage, just do lap dances?
    Depends on club

I especially would like to know about Mitchell Brothers and Crazy Horse - how clean and what extras people do if any.
Mitchell Bros - Ive heard its very dirty. Crazy Horse is getting worse (so I hear, I havent been)

    I won't reiterate anything I already said on http://www.stripperweb.com/forum/showthread.php?t=38134

There is a popular misconception that Mitchell Bros is a "strip club" It's not, it is licensed as a "sex theatre" There are private booths, much like a photo booth where the door closes shut, customer pays $20 per song to the house and then agrees on a price with the girl for whatever service he wants (i.e. dildo show, hj, bj, fs)

About a year ago there was a girl from MBOT who posted on here about what services she offered and for what prices....you may want to search the old threads from 2002 and 2003.

San Fran has a whole different definition of "extra" compared to other states where air dances are the norm, and moderate one way touching constitutes an "extra"

I cannot comment on Crazy Horse since I've never been there, but most of the nude clubs in SF are run the same: high base fees plus a cut of the private shows.

SF is the City of Extras period. Deja Vu's own everything in the City now, but the O' Farrell. The stories you may have heard about girls making huge amount's of money in SF are just remnants of the Dot Com boom of the mid to late 90's. They longer happen.

Also, you must consider the hi cost of living in SF to contend with, rent for a studio in the SF Bay Area is more than most peoples mortgage on a 3 bedroom house in most states in the country.

However, if your into Fetish modeling/work, SF may be the place to go or have a working vacation as the BD/SM community seems to thrive there.

Crazy Horse and Chez Paree are also non Deja Vu clubs. Extras do not run rampant in the alcohol clubs, but due to the slump in the economy I have heard of an increase. Extras are pretty much the norm at 3 of the well known nude clubs. The clubs in the Broadway/North Beach area are kept pretty clean, as well as the Gold Club. This is due to the high tourist/convention populations that frequent these areas of town. When you visit the clubs in the Tenderloin/Market Street area is when you will find extras right in the open, as well as hookers trolling the streets nearby for johns. I know this, as I live in the city...

Try searching for information on the local adult entertainment site: to get more of a feel for which clubs would be the right ones for you to work at.
