Default Stripper shoes, I never knew....

OH MY FRIGGIN LORD!! THEY'RE SOOO PAINFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wore them last night for the first time in my life, for a halloween party to go with my costume....not work yet. And I had them on for like 8 hours, about. OMG, my can't even stand up now! I have flat feet, and no arch underneath....so I need some type of support. And I have weak knees too. By the end of the night walking to my car, I was walking like a giraffe.

Any of you girls reccomend any special shoes for feet like mine? I know that you girls mentioned that you have to change your shoes like 2-3 times when dancing too, but i'm wondering what kind I should get too. I had on like about 4 inch clear shoes last night. And i'm the type of girl that if I like a pair of shoes that look good, I will suck up the pain all night. But I couldn't with these, I wanted to cry last night. And I didn't want to leave the party so early, that would've ruined my friend's night.

Well, I find platform stripper shoes far more comfortable than regular heels. You mentioned your shoes were only 4 inches, did they have a platform? The best thing to do in my opinion is to look for shoes that have a very large platform so your foot is not very bent. For example, if you get 7 inch shoes with a 3 inch platform, they'll be more comfortable than a 6 inch shoe with a 1 inch platform because your feet will be on more of a straight line.

Also, I try to sit down as much as possible (on breaks, if it's slow, between dances with a customer) and I also take my shoes off for dances, this is a serious lifesaver, hopefully the club that you will eventually work at will allow you to do this.

Yeah, they're platform. Too bad I can't wear them again. Mainly the problem was that they were too tight by the end of the night. I don't get it. They're so comfy when you first wear them, then BAM....it's like they were cutting my feet.

Yes, they were platform. About one inch or half an inch.

Make sure you are also wearing a half size bigger than your normal dress shoe.

Your foot pushes forward more with a higher heel.

    I'm a 7-1/2 but I wear size 8 heels at work.

Yes it does, which made it super tight by the end of the night. I was thinking of getting them stretched some how. So i'm gonna have to get bigger shoes now too.

If you have a wide foot like me, you may need to alter the plastic upper part to make them more comfortable. I can't wear my stripper shoes without altering them because they cut into the tops of my feet. Was this your problem? Cutting into the tops of your feet?

Also keep in mind that being on your feet for long periods of time will cause them to swell, making any shoe tighter over the course of the night. I'm guessing you were on your feet most of the night at the party?

I made a post describing how I alter my shoes to keep them from cutting into my feet a couple weeks or so ago, don't have time to search for it now, but if you search you'll probably find it. I was describing how I cut a small amount of the plastic upper away...

Yes, I do have wide, flat, & ugly feet....lol. They did swell by the end of the night bc I did have them on for the entire night. I was thinking of getting them altered like you mentioned too.

Someone showed me that you can use a blowdryer to warm the plastic, then put your foot in and it will mold to the shape. It worked and I didn't get blisters at all like usual with new shoes. I also have knee/foot problems and no high heels are good high heels for me. I suck it up and take lots of advil!!! Life of a stripper I guess.

The uppers on Jante shoes always seem more loose than other brands. You might want to try them.

Here's where I was describing how I alter my shoes so the plastic upper doesn't cut into my feet. I had posted a diagram as well but I guess that got lost in the forum move...

Painful? I find them alot easier on the feet than "normal" heels. Ionly wear two brands, lucious and pleaser. Never had a problem working a 8 hr shift in either.

imo, that's not a big enough platform to maximize your comfort. I liked a minimum 2 inch platform. I could have ran a marathon in my 6-7 inchers.

Yeah very, my feet aren't normal...lol They are wide & flat, which means I don't have that arche underneath to support me. It sucks.

I've never heard of those brands either. Is there like a website for them?

I have wide flat feet too. I agree with LoveSexMoney, you need a higher platform to get better comfort. At least a 2inch platform on a 6inch heel. Open toes. Ankel straps. Cut the upper if it cuts into your foot as described earlier.

My stripper shoes ARE the most comfy heels I own. Regular heels suck musty donkey balls for my feet!

I believe it is just www.jante.com
I've seen them on quite a few other websites also. I'd just do a google search.

Definately agree that the bigger the platform the better. I wear 9" spikes, but my platforms are like 7.5" so my foot is practically flat, I'm just high off the ground. People go: "how do you walk in those?" But what they don't know, is that it's not the height of the shoe that makes it hard to walk in, it's the angle of the arch! JMO.

When I first started dancing, the shoes I wore killed my feet! They were by delicious. The reason, besides the platform thing because they did have a very small platform, was that there wasn't any cushion for the balls of my feet. The shoes I wear now are by ellie, and they are nice and cushy and have a big enough platform on them to counter the heel so my feet aren't on too harsh of an angle. Make sure you wear open toe shoes so your feet arent scrunched up on the toe.

Also, it may help to also have a pair of boots. Once you break them in they are actually pretty comfortable. It helps to change from the heels to the boots and back because heels and boot put tension on different parts of your feet. Hope this helps!
