    Default Liposuction

Have any of you had lipo done, if so where? Are the scars big, noticeable & do they fade away?

I am seriously considering lipo-ing my extra hips, they look like two massive bumps on my sides, lol. No matter how much I diet and exercise, they'll always be there. It annoys me!!

I'm not fat, i'm actually thin but with these things on the side that don't belong.

    What is that?

One thing i'd like to get, but it's not a must....

Is this procedure I heard it's called abetching(sp?) To remove all the fatty deposits out of your tummy & make your abs stick out. That would be great too bc I hate doing situps.

Just my two cents...be VERY careful with mesotherapy. The cocktail injected is not FDA regulated and from what I understand can vary widely from practitioner to practitioner. I, personally, think its only time before we see skin loss and other nasty complications.

Vyanka; In answer to your question. Liposuction incisions are very small (millimeters) and are often hidden in belly button, thigh crease, crease of butt...Its great for thin patients who have trouble losing inches from "problem areas"...not going to see big changes on the scale.

i heard that.. But i have a TINY TINY bit to loose on my abdomen area. Spending 3 or 4 k for it without trying mesotherapy just doesn't seem right.

skin loss and other nasty complications? They have been using it in europe for a long time!??

it depends on so many things

The number of sites being operated on, the doctor's demand, how much you're getting taken out, the technique uesd to do so, and the location of the office.

there is a lot about this on-line at places like liposite.com liposuction4you.com

Ewww...she looks so flabby. Really, if you have some "bad spots" to lose, just tighten up your eating habits and hit the gym a little harder. Liposuction does not guarantee no more fat...I had a friend who did lipo...and gained it all back and then some...just in other places. If you have no intention of changing the habits that got you to where you are...then lipo will do nothing for you.

I got lipo done almost 3 months ago and i love it!!! i got it on my hips, thighs, stomach, and inner knees. The doctor took out 4000 CCs, which is equivalent to 8 pounds. Doctors usually dont do more than 5000 CCs in one sitting because it can cause complications to take out more fat than that at one time. There were a lot of incisions but they are all fading away gradually. The procedure cost $5700.00 total. I can see a big difference in mostly my hips and stomach... the inner thighs arent as drastic a difference as the rest of the body, but i already knew it wouldnt be because my doctor warned me before the surgery that the inner thighs never do as well as other parts. something about the skin elasticity in that region.

My friend is getting her BA done and her surgeon told her that mesotherapy is a huge placebo. But now she is going to get some lipo so he might have told her so that she will buy the lipo......its hard to get a straight answer........

I have a friend that got lipo....just a tiny bit here and there and she looks great. The swelling takes FOREVER to go down though. It's been a year and I've never noticed any incision marks.

Anyone know anything about body contouring? Isn't that something they do after they lipo an area of your body? You know, they tuck or cut off any excess skin that remains.

I'm debating what to do with lipo versus mesotherapy myself. I have been told I'm the ideal lipo patient by a surgeon because I don't need to lose weight. I just have those pieces of fat on my outer thighs that are genetic and won't go away. My legs are very skinny though so it looks out of proportion. Mesotherapy can be almost as expensive as lipo from what I've read because you need several treatments. I also wouldn't cut corners with expenses on any type of plastic surgery. I want good results and an excellent surgeon and I'll pay what I need to to get that. I'm not having it done all that soon but it's something I want in the future so I'll be watching on here to see if anyone has any personal experiences with how theirs turns out. I look at a lot of before and after lipo shots and a lot of them aren't that great in the after shot to make me think it's worth it.
