Cruise prices: All are based on 2 people in a room. Different cruise dates are for same cruise, different weekends. Departs from Miami on Friday afternoon and returns Monday morning. Stops in Nassau, Bahamas. Prices are all inclusive, except travel to Miami.
Feb 4-7 sailing, $289 + $33.79 (taxes) = $322.79 per person
Jan 28-31 sailing, $259 + $33.79 (taxes) = $292.79 per person
Deposit of $200 per person must be paid at time of final booking (by Nov 8 for Jan28 sailing; by Nov 12 for Feb4 sailing), full amount must be paid 60 days in advance (by Dec 6 for Feb4 sailing; by Nov 29 for Jan28 sailing).
For the group booking, we get 2 amenity points for the entire group which we can use in several different ways, which we would choose at time of final booking. These can be:
2 free room upgrades for entire group
$25 credit per room to be used toward drinks, shore excursions, etc
bottle of wine to every room plus invitation to cocktail party onboard
In order to ensure a block of rooms, I put a 24hr hold on 16 rooms (guesstimation) for BOTH sailing dates, no obligation. I have to call back tomorrow to choose the date, and will have to pay the deposits by the appropriate date (Nov 8 or 12) in order to finalize booking. If we wind up needing fewer rooms we only pay for what we need. If we need more, the extra rooms will be subject to whatever prices are in effect at time of booking.
To get the group deal all rooms must be booked and paid at once, no separate bookings. This means if we need 10 rooms (20 people), I'll have to pay a $4000 ($200 x 20 people) deposit up front to book them, and pay the remainder by the due date all at once to finalize. Obviously I won't be interested in fronting that kind of money myself, so I'll have to collect deposits from anyone who's serious about going before I book and pay. Anyone who is skeptical about this can ask those who went to the previous StripperFest how I handled the sailboat booking, collected deposits up front and didn't screw anyone over.
So now I ask you, who wants to go? Which date - Jan28 or Feb4? Are you serious and can you pay a $200 per person deposit by the appropriate deadline?
There is currently no obligation and if this deposit requirement makes it impossible to get enough people together we can scrap the cruise idea and figure something else out. Of course I think the cruise is the BEST idea
