Default Cell phones, pedestrians and drivers.

After voting yesterday, went to the downtown area of the city to do a few errands and saw a young woman, about 25, crossing the street totally engrossed in her conversation on her cell phone. She was crossing at a crosswalk where you have a flashing yellow light, if you remember to hit the switch before you cross, which she had done. But a guy driving was on his cell phone, and obviously didn't see her crossing at first. He made a panic stop and stopped about a foot away from her. She still didn't really notice and kept on crossing, still engrossed in her conversation. These crosswalks are in the middle of the blocks instead of the corners, and now I'm wondering if they should be removed, considering this isn't the first time I've seen something like this.

Cell phones and dumb people should be removed.

Leave the crosswalks, cell phones and the dumb people.

There is one of those where I live. People don't even stop for the flashing yellow lights.

It is satisfying to see a cop down the road waiting for those rude selfish mother fuckers in 2000 lbs of steel endangering another person when they can't wait 30 extra seconds.

I swear NJ drivers are the worse. Not only do they swerve all over the place while they talk on their cellphone, but they also either tailgaiting the person in front of them or braking suddenly making the driver behind drop their cellphone, coffee, donut, bagel, whatever. I've seen people attempt talking and walking in an urban environment, and considering those that drive in the city are ten times worse than those of us that live in the 'burbs, its a surprise that not too many pedestrians are run over because a cell phone was involved.
