Who eats after work in the earlier hours of the morning and who manages to get home and go straight to bed?

I eat after work! I can't just go to bed, and feel weird pigging out at work.

I loooooove to eat after work!! I try not to do it all the time though and if I come home I try to eat something not too bad, like soup or salad

About half the time I get something to keep me awake driving home.

It depends on what I am in the mood for, sometimes a healthy soup and salad or fruit & yogurt...
Sometimes, a big ass, grease dripping burger with everything from Steak-n-Shake! LOL![]()

I have a protein shake in the car on the way home. It takes me 45 mins to drive home, so by the time I shower and hit the sheets, I've had over an hour to digest.

Depends how hungry I am. Usually I'll eat something after work. Sometimes I'll just try to have a snack like baby carrots or chips and salsa, but sometimes I'll eat something unhealthy like Denny's. If I'm not very hungry or I'm really tired, I'll just go straight to bed.
i totally binge after work. i'm always starved.
I eat that new power par protine bar after work.. its like 24 grams of protine... I have toned up so much thanks to it...
its becomming a good habit.
and if i dont have it handy then i go for those chicken strips from mc dees..


I get 2 orders of takeout and sides and binge and eat the leftovers for breakfast so I don't have to go anywhere in the A.M.



LMAO!i knew i wasn't the only one! i don't always eat after work, but i never eat right before work. (i feel too full and yucky.) but by the time i get home, the only drive-thru open is steak n shake. i usually get a double steakburger with cheese. soooo bad! and the worst is sometimes i don't make it in time before they close for maintainence....gimme my burger!

I have to eat after work! I am always too busy between 9-2:30am to try and eat something at work (or at least I try to be), so on the drive home I try to have a snack and eat Oatmeal w/ protien powder when I get home, or cottage cheese or something.
If I am really starving I will sometimes stop at McDonald's or Jack in the Box (only places open all night), but I've been body building lately, and those kind of foods are detrimental to progress.
So enjoy your after work munchies, we all do!

i do eat, usually stuff like peanutbutter toasts or some fruits. i drink a lot, juices refillit takes me half an hour to get home and i don't like to take fat takeouts before going to bed.
usually it takes my an hour or so before i'm down enough to go to bed.
I make a point not to eat before or during work. However I treat myself to whatever I want that's in the house after work. I just burnt off a tone of calories at work so why the hell not.

All the food by my club is junk by the time I get out. My club has grilled chicken w/ veggies. I'm trying to remember to order that before the kitchen closes. I'm trying to lose weight, so junk at night is turninginto a nono.

If you always eat after work, try an experiment....for 2 weeks, don't eat anything after work, not one thing....and see how much weight you lose. I guarantee you will lose at least 5 pounds. I've noticed so much of a difference when I don't eat when I get home. You work for 6 or 7 hours, get a good workout between stage and private dances, and your metabolism gets going really fast. If you don't eat after work, your body can use all that energy and metabolism to burn off what you ate earlier that day...and this inevitably results in weight loss and a more toned body. That being said, I know how tempting it is to eat whatever you want after you have been working so hard all night, but when I don't let myself give into that tempation, I see the results immediately the next day. I'm not saying that everyone should do this , or that not eating after work is better than eating after work, but my god, it makes such a difference!

I dunno, I think in moderation eating after work is ok, esp considering the exercise we get and calories we burn at work.
I went on a strict lowfat diet this summer and noticed it made a big difference. I still ate after work, but kept it to very lowfat stuff. And lowfat does NOT have to be yucky! The lean cuisine or weight watchers meals are actually pretty decent for micro meals. Or get a chicken breast and some veggies, wrap them in a foil pocket with a lil space for steam, season and cook in the oven - a convenient alternative for single people who hate doing dishes, just throw away the foil! A turkey or chicken sandwich on whole wheat with lettuce, tomato, pickle has plenty of flavor, no mayo needed or use regular mustard - filling and low on the fat count. Salads with no meat or maybe with grilled chicken and lowfat dressing - most of the fastfood places are selling some pretty good salads and you can ask for lower fat dressings. Also lowfat yogurts, fresh fruit and veggies, plain popcorn (it's amazing how easily you can get used to plain popcorn once you go for it) make good snacks. IMO you don't have to starve yourself after work to lose or maintain weight. And you certainly don't have to eat yucky either...





Also, whatever you do, if you're on a diet: Assign one day per week as your cheat day and have one meal of whatever you want that day, but be sure to do it early in the day rather than just before bed. This helps satisfy cravings and keep you from feeling too deprived.
I tried this. It works, but i am starving when i get home. So, i usually dont see a difference if the snack is like 100-200 calories.Originally Posted by krys
